अर्थ: कबीर दास जी इस दोहे में उन लोगों पर कटाक्ष कर रहे हैं जो बाहरी दिखावे और कठोर अनुष्ठानों में फंसे हैं। वे कहते हैं कि साधक अपनी साधना के अहंकार में इतना क्रोधित और हठी हो गया है कि वह उस सत्य को नहीं पहचान पा रहा जो उसके सामने है। वह उस जल को पीने से इनकार करता है जिसे उसने स्वयं उबाला है, क्योंकि वह केवल प्रक्रिया के बाहरी स्वरूप से चिपका है, उसके वास्तविक सार या लाभ से नहीं।

Meaning: Kabir satirizes those trapped in external displays and rigid rituals. He observes that the seeker, blinded by the arrogance of their own spiritual discipline, has become resentful and stubborn. They refuse to drink the water they have painstakingly boiled, failing to realize that the purpose of the process was the result. They are so obsessed with the ritual of 'boiling' that they forget the actual goal: quenching the thirst with the purified essence.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जब मनुष्य अपने अहंकार (आपा) का त्याग कर परमात्मा की शरण में जाता है और अपने शरीर के रोम-रोम (नख से सिखर) से विकारों और अशुद्धियों को मिटा देता है, तब वह सांसारिक मोह-माया से मुक्त हो जाता है। यही वास्तविक साधुता और जीवन का सार है।

Meaning: Kabir teaches that when a human relinquishes the ego (Aapa) and turns toward the Divine, purging every atom of their being—from the nails to the crown of the head—of all impurities and vices, they transcend the entanglements of worldly existence. Meaning: When a seeker trembles before the spiritual discipline and stern warnings of the Guru, the physical and mental impurities of the body begin to be cleansed. However, if the mind remains inhabited by distorted intellect and egoic desires, the seeker merely chases the superficial allure of words and rhetoric, failing to achieve true internal transformation.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि अपनी जीभ पर नियंत्रण रखें और अनावश्यक बोलने की आदत को त्याग दें। इसके बजाय, अपनी संगति ऐसे अनुभवी और पारखी लोगों के साथ करें जो सत्य को पहचानते हों, और गुरु द्वारा दिए गए पवित्र शब्दों और ज्ञान पर गहन विचार करें।

Meaning: Kabir advises the seeker to restrain the tongue and eliminate the habit of excessive speaking. Instead of wasting energy in idle chatter, one should seek the company of the 'Parkhi'—the discerning experts of truth—and deeply contemplate the sacred words and wisdom transmitted by the enlightened Guru.

अर्थ: मनुष्य की जिह्वा अत्यंत चंचल है, जो निरंतर व्यर्थ और कठोर शब्दों का उच्चारण करती रहती है। इस वाणी के वशीकरण में मन भी भ्रमित होकर भटकता रहता है, और अनजाने में व्यक्ति स्वयं को समय के विनाशकारी चक्र या मृत्यु के करीब ले जाता है।

Meaning: The human tongue is restless and unstable, constantly uttering falsehoods or harsh words. Driven by this erratic speech, the mind wanders in confusion and illusion, inadvertently swinging itself toward the inevitable grip of time and spiritual decay.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि अपने अहंकार और बाहरी आडंबरों का बोझ उतार कर रख दो और व्यर्थ की विवादपूर्ण चर्चाओं या दूसरों की आलोचना में न उलझो। तुम्हें किसी बाहरी व्यक्ति ने नहीं बांधा है, बल्कि तुमने स्वयं को अपने भ्रमों और मानसिक विकारों के जाल में जकड़ा हुआ है; अतः स्वयं ही इस बंधन से मुक्त हो जाओ।

Meaning: Kabir urges the seeker to shed the heavy burden of ego and external pretenses, advising against engaging in petty disputes or the critical noise of the world. He asserts that no external force or 'other' has enslaved you; rather, you have woven your own shackles through illusion and mental agitation. अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जो व्यक्ति अहंकार और क्रोध की अग्नि में जलता है, वह निरंतर मानसिक और आध्यात्मिक पीड़ा भोगता है। इसके विपरीत, जो व्यक्ति राग, द्वेष और अहंकार से मुक्त होकर शांत रहता है, वह वास्तव में सबसे धनी है। जो लोग इस आंतरिक शांति और वैराग्य को प्राप्त कर लेते हैं, वे इंद्र के वैभव से भी अधिक समृद्ध माने जाते हैं, भले ही दुनिया उन्हें गरीब समझे।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that one who is consumed by the fire of ego and anger suffers continuous mental and spiritual agony. Those who master this inner stillness are considered wealthier than Indra, the king of gods, regardless of their material poverty in the eyes of the world.
