अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि यदि केवल सिर मुंडवाने से ईश्वर की प्राप्ति होती, तो हर वह व्यक्ति जिसे सिर मुंडवाने की आदत है, वह ईश्वर को पा लेता। यदि बार-बार बाल कटवाने से मोक्ष मिलता, तो भेड़ें सबसे पहले वैकुण्ठ पहुँचतीं क्योंकि उनके बाल सबसे अधिक बार कटते हैं।

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि मनुष्य का मन एक बाजीगर (मदारी) के बंदर की तरह है। जिस प्रकार मदारी बंदर को तरह-तरह के करतब और नाच दिखाकर अपने नियंत्रण में रखता है, उसी प्रकार यह मायावी संसार और इंद्रियाँ मनुष्य के मन को भ्रमित कर उसे अपने वश में रखती हैं, जिससे वह वास्तविक सत्य से दूर रहता है।
