अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि यदि कोई आध्यात्मिक साधक या ज्ञानी व्यक्ति अज्ञान की नींद में सोया हुआ है, तो उसे तुरंत जगाया जाना चाहिए ताकि वह ईश्वर के नाम स्मरण और आत्म-साक्षात्कार में लीन हो सके। इसके विपरीत, एक जंगली हाथी, एक शेर और एक जहरीला साँप यदि सो रहे हों, तो उन्हें न जगाना ही बेहतर है, क्योंकि उनके जागने पर वे विनाशकारी और हिंसक हो सकते हैं।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that if a spiritual seeker or a wise soul is slumbering in the sleep of ignorance, they must be awakened immediately to resume the remembrance of the Divine. Conversely, if a wild elephant, a lion, or a venomous serpent are asleep, it is far wiser to leave them undisturbed, for their awakening brings forth inherent violence and destruction.

Meaning: The Divine resides within you, just as fragrance is inherent to a flower. Yet, in a state of profound ignorance, humans search for the Truth in the external world, mirroring the musk deer that wanders the forests searching for a scent that originates from its own navel.

अर्थ: यह शरीर एक भारी बोझ की तरह है, लेकिन मन एक कौवे के समान चंचल है जो पल भर में लाखों योजन दूर उड़ जाता है। यह मन कभी अगम्य आध्यात्मिक गहराइयों में उतरता है और कभी अनंत आकाश की असीमित ऊँचाइयों में विलीन हो जाता है, जबकि शरीर यहीं स्थिर रहता है।

Meaning: The physical body is a heavy burden, yet the mind is like a crow that can fly millions of leagues in an instant. This consciousness oscillates wildly, diving into the unfathomable depths of spiritual longing one moment and expanding into the infinite expanse of the cosmic sky the next, while the physical frame remains anchored.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि इस सृष्टि की समस्त उत्पत्ति और संचालन उस परम सत्ता (साँईं) से ही होता है; मनुष्य की अपनी कोई स्वतंत्र शक्ति नहीं है। वह ईश्वर इतना समर्थ है कि एक छोटे से राई के दाने को पर्वत बना सकता है और विशाल पर्वत को राई के दाने में समाहित कर सकता है।
