अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जो व्यक्ति अपने अंतर्मन के केंद्र में स्थित रहता है और अपनी चेतना को भीतर की ओर केंद्रित करता है, वह संसार रूपी सागर को बहुत शीघ्रता से पार कर लेता है। इसके विपरीत, जो लोग बाहरी द्वंद्वों, बाहरी आडंबरों और द्वैत (दोहरेपन) में उलझे रहते हैं, वे इस मायावी संसार में डूब जाते हैं।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that the individual who remains anchored in the center of their own being—the core of the soul—crosses the turbulent ocean of worldly existence without delay. Conversely, those who are entangled in dualities, external rituals, and the fragmentation of the self, inevitably sink into the depths of this illusory world.

अर्थ: कबीर इस संसार रूपी भयानक सागर से पार उतरने के लिए विनम्र प्रार्थना कर रहे हैं। वे कहते हैं कि जब परमात्मा की कृपा और आंतरिक शक्ति का जोर मनुष्य पर होता है, तभी वह जन्म और मृत्यु के इस अंतहीन चक्र से मुक्ति पाकर उस परम सत्ता (गुसाईं) में विलीन हो सकता है।

Meaning: Kabir offers a humble prayer to cross the formidable ocean of worldly existence. He asserts that only when the divine will and spiritual strength prevail over the individual, can one break the shackles of the cycle of birth and death to merge with the Eternal Master.

Meaning: Kabir suggests that human existence has become as entangled as nine maunds of knotted thread, trapped in the complexities of worldly attachments and illusion. This intricate knot of suffering and confusion can only be untangled by those who have truly realized the essence of devotion to the Formless Divine.

अर्थ: जब हृदय पूरी तरह से उस परमात्मा (राम) में लीन हो जाता है, तो यमराज का भय समाप्त हो जाता है। मुझे अपने इष्ट देव पर पूर्ण विश्वास है कि जो आत्मा ईश्वर के प्रति समर्पित है, वह कभी नरक की यातनाओं या आध्यात्मिक पतन का शिकार नहीं हो सकती।

Meaning: When the heart becomes completely merged with the Divine (Ram), the fear of the Lord of Death (Yama) vanishes. I have absolute faith in my Beloved Lord that a soul surrendered to the Divine can never fall into the depths of hell or spiritual oblivion.

अर्थ: जब मेरा अहंकार पूरी तरह नष्ट हो गया, तब मैं वास्तव में मुक्त हो गया और मुझे उस निराकार ब्रह्म पर अटूट विश्वास प्राप्त हुआ। अब मेरे जीवन में किसी अन्य सांसारिक सहारे या इच्छा की आवश्यकता नहीं रही; मेरी एकमात्र आशा और शरण अब केवल उस परमात्मा में है।

Meaning: When my ego was completely annihilated, I attained true liberation and gained an unwavering faith in the Formless Brahman. Now, there remains no need for any other worldly support or desire in my life; my sole hope and refuge lie exclusively in the Divine.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि अब मेरी स्थिति ऐसी हो गई है कि मैंने अपनी आत्मा को उस परमात्मा के प्रेम में पूरी तरह लीन कर लिया है। जब व्यक्ति ने सत्य के अमृत का कलश अपने हाथों में थाम लिया हो, तो उसे मृत्यु के भय से डरने की कोई आवश्यकता नहीं रह जाती।

Meaning: Kabir declares that he has reached a state where his heart is completely entwined with the Divine. Having grasped the vessel of spiritual nectar (immortality) in his own hands, he asks rhetorically why one should fear death, for the essence of eternal life has already been attained.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि उन्होंने अपना अहंकार (सिर) काटकर अलग कर दिया है और अपनी पूरी आत्मा और जीवन को परमात्मा के प्रति समर्पित कर दिया है। उन्होंने प्रेम का एक ऐसा बाज़ार लगाया है जहाँ कोई भी वह व्यक्ति जो सच्चे प्रेम का इच्छुक है, आकर इस आत्म-समर्पण के फल को प्राप्त कर सकता है।

Meaning: Kabir declares that he has severed the head of his ego and offered it as a sacrifice, fully immersing his soul in the Divine. He has established a marketplace of love, inviting anyone who possesses a genuine longing for spiritual union to come and claim the fruits of this absolute surrender.

अर्थ: इस दोहे में कबीर एक ऐसे पूर्ण समर्पण की बात कर रहे हैं जहाँ साधक अपने अहंकार और शारीरिक अस्तित्व की सारी आसक्ति को त्याग देता है। जब व्यक्ति अपने 'मैं' (अहंकार) का विसर्जन कर देता है, तभी वह उस परम तत्व या हरि के वास्तविक स्वरूप का साक्षात्कार कर पाता है।

Meaning: In this couplet, Kabir speaks of a total surrender where the seeker relinquishes all attachment to the ego and the physical existence. Only when an individual discards the 'I' (the ego) can they truly encounter and recognize the divine presence of Hari.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जब मनुष्य संसार की माया और आध्यात्मिक खोज के बीच द्वंद्व में फंसता है, तो वह दोनों तरफ से जलता है। लेकिन जब वह पूर्ण समर्पण के साथ सद्गुरु की शरण में आता है, तो वह आंतरिक शांति प्राप्त करता है। गुरु का ज्ञान उस मरहम की तरह है जो आत्मा के गहरे जख्मों को भर देता है और अहंकार की जलन को शांत करता है।

Meaning: Kabir explains that when a human is caught in the conflict between worldly attachments and spiritual longing, they are scorched by both fires. However, when the soul seeks refuge in the True Guru, it finds ultimate peace. The Guru's wisdom acts as a healing balm that soothes the deep wounds of the spirit and extinguishes the burning agony of the ego.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि इस चंचल और अहंकारी मन को पूरी तरह से पराजित कर देना चाहिए ताकि व्यक्ति का 'अहं' या 'मैं' पूरी तरह समाप्त हो जाए। जब साधक प्रेम में इतना पागल हो जाता है कि वह केवल अपने प्रिय (परमात्मा) का ही जाप करता रहता है, तब मृत्यु या काल का भय समाप्त हो जाता है और वह जन्म-मरण के चक्र से मुक्त हो जाता है।

Meaning: Kabir urges the seeker to decisively overthrow the restless and egoistic mind so that the sense of 'I-ness' or the individual ego is completely annihilated. When a devotee becomes so intoxicated in divine love that they chant the name of the Beloved incessantly, the fear of death or time (Kaal) vanishes, and they are liberated from the cycle of birth and rebirth.
