अर्थ: यह आध्यात्मिक मार्ग अत्यंत कठिन और चुनौतीपूर्ण है, इसलिए बिना पूर्ण तैयारी और संकल्प के यहाँ कोई न आए। जो इस मार्ग पर निकल गया, वह अपनी पुरानी पहचान और अहंकार को पीछे छोड़ देता है और कभी वापस नहीं लौटता; क्योंकि जो पूर्णता को पा लेता है, वह फिर कभी उस अज्ञानता की स्थिति में नहीं लौट सकता जहाँ से वह चला था।

Meaning: The path to ultimate truth is exceedingly arduous; therefore, one should not venture upon it lightly. Once a seeker embarks on this journey of total surrender, there is no returning to the former self. Those who have merged into the Infinite do not return to the world of duality to report their well-being, for the 'I' that started the journey has ceased to exist.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि इस सांसारिक माया और मोह के जाल से उतरकर स्वयं को मुक्त करो। जब तक तुम बाहरी आडंबरों और दूसरों के सहारे चलते रहोगे, तुम्हारी आध्यात्मिक यात्रा का अंत नहीं होगा। यह संसार एक ऐसा रेगिस्तान है जहाँ पैर थक जाते हैं लेकिन मंजिल नहीं मिलती, क्योंकि जीव अभी भी अज्ञानता के हाथों में कैद है।

Meaning: Kabir urges the seeker to descend from the heights of ego and detach from the illusory web of worldly attachments. He warns that relying on external rituals or the company of the misguided leads to an endless cycle of exhaustion. The soul remains a stranger to its own true nature, wandering a desolate path where the feet tire but the destination remains unseen.

अर्थ: शब्द की शक्ति इतनी प्रबल है कि यह अहंकार को गिरा सकती है और सत्य के गुप्त रहस्यों को खोल सकती है। जिसने वास्तव में शब्द (दिव्य ध्वनि या सत्य) पर गहन विचार किया और उसे आत्मसात किया, उसके जीवन के सभी कठिन कार्य और आध्यात्मिक बाधाएं स्वतः समाप्त हो गईं।

Meaning: The power of the 'Shabad' (Divine Word) is so potent that it can shatter the ego and unlock the hidden secrets of existence. Those who have deeply contemplated and realized the essence of this Word find that their spiritual struggles and worldly burdens are effortlessly resolved.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जिस प्रकार एक हंस प्यास बुझाने के बाद सरोवर को छोड़कर आगे बढ़ जाता है, उसी प्रकार यह शरीर भी एक दिन खाली हो जाएगा और आत्मा इस संसार को त्याग देगी। संतों, यह सत्य जान लो कि जिस द्वार से हम इस संसार में आए हैं, अंततः हमें उसी द्वार से वापस लौटना है।

Meaning: Kabir explains that just as a swan departs from a lake after quenching its thirst, the physical body will eventually become void and the soul will leave this world. He urges the seekers to realize that the same gateway through which we entered this earthly existence is the only exit we shall eventually traverse.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जैसे शरीर के भीतर गहरे घाव और पीड़ाएं हैं और सांसों का तीर टूट रहा है, वैसे ही आत्मा इस भौतिक संसार के मोह-जाल में फंसी है। जिस प्रकार एक शक्तिशाली चुंबक के बिना लोहे के कणों का ढेर नहीं हटता, उसी तरह बिना ईश्वरीय प्रेम और आकर्षण के, आत्मा इस संसार के करोड़ों पत्थरों (मोह-माया) से मुक्त नहीं हो सकती।

अर्थ: जब हृदय रूपी पिंजरे में ईश्वरीय प्रेम का प्रकाश फैलता है, तब अनंत योग की जागृति होती है। जब संसार के प्रति मोह और आसक्ति पूरी तरह समाप्त हो जाती है, तब वास्तविक सुख की प्राप्ति होती है क्योंकि आत्मा का मिलन अपने प्रियतम परमात्मा से हो जाता है।

Meaning: When the light of divine love illuminates the cage of the body, the infinite union of yoga awakens. Once the illusory attachments of the worldly existence are completely severed, true bliss emerges, for the soul has finally reunited with its Eternal Beloved.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि यह बहुत अच्छा हुआ कि मैं पूरी तरह टूट गया और मेरा अहंकार नष्ट हो गया, जिससे मेरी पुरानी मानसिक अवस्था और झूठी पहचान मिट गई। जैसे बर्फ पिघलकर पानी बन जाती है और अंततः अपनी मूल धारा या सागर में मिल जाती है, वैसे ही मेरा सीमित व्यक्तित्व विलीन होकर उस अनंत परमात्मा में समा गया।

Meaning: Kabir proclaims that it was a blessing to be utterly broken, for in that collapse, the false state of the ego and all previous delusions vanished. Just as ice melts into water and eventually flows back to merge with its original source, the limited individual identity dissolved to unite with the Infinite Divine.

अर्थ: जब साधक को उस परम सत्य का अनुभव होता है, तो उसके भीतर एक असीम और स्वाभाविक आनंद का उदय होता है। हृदय, जो पहले इच्छाओं और दुखों का एक खाली या अशांत दरिया था, अब पूर्णता और शांति से भर गया है। जैसे ही जीव का साक्षात्कार साक्षात परमात्मा (सांई) से होता है, उसके जीवन के समस्त संचित पाप और मानसिक विकार सहजता से मिट जाते हैं।

Meaning: When the seeker attains the Ultimate Truth, an innate and boundless bliss arises within. The heart, once a turbulent river of longing and void, becomes overflowing with divine fulfillment. Upon the direct realization of the Eternal Presence (the Beloved/Sai), all accumulated sins and spiritual impurities dissolve effortlessly, leaving only purity.

अर्थ: यह दोहा उस परम आनंद की अवस्था का वर्णन करता है जहाँ आत्मा (हंस) ज्ञान के मानसरोवर में गोते लगा रही है। जब साधक को आत्म-साक्षात्कार हो जाता है और वह मोक्ष के मोतियों का स्वाद चख लेता है, तो वह इस दिव्य शांति को छोड़कर पुनः संसार के मायाजाल में नहीं जाना चाहता।

Meaning: This couplet describes the state of supreme bliss where the soul, symbolized as a swan, frolics in the lake of pure consciousness. Once the seeker tastes the pearls of liberation and divine knowledge, they find such profound contentment that they no longer wish to fly back into the illusions of the material world.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जिस प्रकार बिना नींव के कोई भवन या महल खड़ा नहीं रह सकता, उसी प्रकार बिना शरीर के (या शारीरिक चेतना के विसर्जन के बिना) परमात्मा का साक्षात्कार संभव नहीं है। जो व्यक्ति इस सत्य को समझने में देरी करता है, वह वास्तव में केवल आलस्य और मोह की सेवा कर रहा है।
