अर्थ: भक्ति का वास्तविक मार्ग वह है जहाँ हृदय में ईश्वर के प्रति अटूट भाव और प्रेम बंध जाए। जब मनुष्य का संपूर्ण अस्तित्व परोपकार और परमार्थ (सर्वोच्च सत्य) के लिए समर्पित हो जाता है, तब यह प्रश्न गौण हो जाता है कि शरीर जीवित रहे या मृत्यु को प्राप्त हो; क्योंकि आत्मा का उद्देश्य केवल सत्य की सेवा है।

Meaning: The true essence of devotion lies in the cultivation of an unwavering emotional bond with the Divine. When a seeker dedicates their entire existence to 'Paramarth'—the highest spiritual good and selfless service—the physical survival of the body becomes irrelevant. The only goal is the realization of Truth, regardless of whether the physical form persists or perishes.

अर्थ: बिना सच्ची भक्ति और आंतरिक प्रेम के कोई भी व्यक्ति संसार के बंधनों से मुक्त नहीं हो सकता, चाहे वह लाखों बाहरी कर्म या अनुष्ठान क्यों न कर ले। केवल वही व्यक्ति अपने वास्तविक आध्यात्मिक घर (परमात्मा) तक पहुँच पाता है, जो 'शब्द' यानी ईश्वरीय ध्वनि और सत्य के प्रति पूर्णतः समर्पित और प्रेमी बन जाता है।

Meaning: No one can achieve true liberation or transcend the cycle of existence without genuine devotion, regardless of how many millions of external rituals or charitable acts they perform. अर्थ: भक्ति का बीज एक बार जब आत्मा में गहराई से बो दिया जाता है, तो वह अनंत युगों तक नष्ट नहीं होता। यह आध्यात्मिक संस्कार इतना शक्तिशाली होता है कि व्यक्ति चाहे किसी भी जाति, कुल या सामाजिक स्तर (ऊंच या नीच) में जन्म ले, वह अंततः अपनी आध्यात्मिक परिपक्वता को प्राप्त करता है और संतों में भी श्रेष्ठ संत बन जाता है।

Meaning: The seed of devotion, once deeply sown within the soul, remains indestructible across infinite cycles of time and rebirth. This spiritual imprint is so potent that regardless of the social strata or caste—be it high or low—into which a soul is born, they are destined to realize their divinity and emerge as a saint among saints.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि दूसरों की नकल करके या दिखावे के लिए अपनाई गई भक्ति कभी भी स्थायी नहीं होती और न ही वह आत्मा को रंग पाती है। जिस प्रकार एक सांप अपनी पुरानी केंचुली को समय आने पर त्याग देता है, उसी प्रकार दिखावटी भक्त कठिन समय या विपत्ति आने पर अपने धर्म और विश्वास को तुरंत छोड़ देता है।

Such superficial faith is fragile; just as a snake sheds its skin (slough) when the time comes, a person practicing performative spirituality will abandon their beliefs the moment they encounter real hardship or adversity.
