अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि ईश्वर की प्राप्ति के लिए केवल प्रेम का भाव आवश्यक है, बाहरी पहनावा या रूप मायने नहीं रखता। चाहे व्यक्ति सांसारिक जीवन में घर पर रहे या वैराग्य लेकर वन में चला जाए, यदि हृदय में सच्चा प्रेम नहीं है, तो बाहरी बदलाव व्यर्थ हैं।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that the only essential requirement for spiritual realization is the essence of love. External appearances, rituals, or outward identities are irrelevant. Whether one resides within the domesticity of a home or retreats into the solitude of a forest, the location is secondary to the internal state of devotion.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि मनुष्य बाहरी दिखावे, जैसे कि साफ-सुथरे और कीमती कपड़े पहनना और विलासिता का आनंद लेना (पान-सुपारी खाना) में लीन रहता है। परंतु, यदि हृदय में उस निराकार परमात्मा (हरि) का सच्चा स्मरण और प्रेम नहीं है, तो यह सारा बाहरी आडंबर व्यर्थ है और अंततः आत्मा को यमलोक के कष्टों का सामना करना पड़ता है।

They are not dependent on worldly structures or external supports, for the path to Truth is one of solitude and internal purification, rather than collective exhibitionism.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि एक राजा की रानी, जो अत्यंत वैभव, धन और विलासिता के बीच रहती है, वह भी उस साधारण दलित या हरिजन स्त्री के सामने तुच्छ है जो अपनी सादगी और आंतरिक पवित्रता के साथ पानी भरने जाती है। यहाँ बाहरी ऐश्वर्य की तुलना आंतरिक आध्यात्मिक गरिमा से की गई है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that a queen, surrounded by immense wealth, luxury, and royal prestige, cannot compare to a simple woman from the marginalized 'Harijan' community who goes to fetch water. The poet emphasizes that external opulence is insignificant when weighed against the innate spiritual dignity and purity of a humble soul.

अर्थ: इस दोहे में कबीर कहते हैं कि केवल सतगुरु का उपदेश ही वह वास्तविक मार्ग है जो मुक्ति दिला सकता है। न तो देवता, न मनुष्य और न ही महान ऋषि-मुनि अपने आप में उद्धार करने वाले हैं। यहाँ तक कि सृष्टि के रचयिता ब्रह्मा, पालनकर्ता विष्णु और संहारक शिव भी उस परम सत्य के अधीन हैं जिसे केवल गुरु की कृपा और ज्ञान से ही समझा जा सकता है।

Much like the legendary Philosopher's Stone (Paras), whose value lies not in its appearance but in its transformative power, a saint's worth is found in their inner realization, not social standing.
