अर्थ: जिस प्रकार वृक्ष स्वयं अपने फल नहीं खाता और नदी अपना जल स्वयं संचित नहीं करती, उसी प्रकार एक सच्चा साधु या आध्यात्मिक व्यक्ति इस संसार में केवल दूसरों के कल्याण और परमार्थ के लिए जन्म लेता है। उसका जीवन निस्वार्थ सेवा का एक माध्यम बन जाता है।

Meaning: Just as a tree never consumes its own fruit and a river never hoards its own water, a true seeker or saint embodies a physical form solely for the purpose of altruism. अर्थ: जब मनुष्य अपनी इंद्रियों और चंचल मन को नियंत्रित करना सीख जाता है, तब उसका हृदय स्वाभाविक रूप से कोमल और करुणापूर्ण हो जाता है। ऐसा व्यक्ति अपने आचरण में सदैव शुद्धता बनाए रखता है और उसके विचार निरंतर परमात्मा के ध्यान और आध्यात्मिक शांति में लीन रहते हैं।

Meaning: When a person masters their senses and the restless mind, the heart naturally becomes tender and compassionate. Such an individual maintains absolute purity in their conduct, and their thoughts remain perpetually immersed in the stillness of divine consciousness and spiritual equilibrium.

अर्थ: करोड़ों तीर्थ यात्राएं करें और अनगिनत पवित्र स्थानों के दर्शन करें, लेकिन जब तक आप एक सच्चे साधु या आत्मज्ञानी व्यक्ति की सेवा और संगति नहीं करते, तब तक आपका आध्यात्मिक प्रयास अधूरा और कच्चा ही रहेगा। बाहरी कर्मकांडों का कोई मूल्य नहीं है यदि आंतरिक रूपांतरण के लिए मार्गदर्शन प्राप्त न हो।

Meaning: One may visit millions of pilgrimage sites and worship countless shrines, but as long as one does not serve and seek the company of a true realized soul (Saadhu), their spiritual endeavors remain incomplete and unripe. External rituals are futile without the internal transformation sparked by the guidance of a living embodiment of truth.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि यदि किसी ने सत्य का पार पा लिया है और उसे आत्म-साक्षात्कार का भोजन (परमानंद) मिल गया है, तो वह वास्तव में जागृत है। ऐसे संतों की बातों को अनसुना नहीं करना चाहिए, क्योंकि उनकी वाणी सीधे अनुभव से निकली होती है, न कि किताबी ज्ञान से।

अर्थ: संत उस कमल के पत्ते के समान होते हैं जो संसार रूपी जल में तो रहता है, परंतु उससे लिप्त नहीं होता। जिस प्रकार एक माँ अपने बालक की ममता में इतनी मग्न हो जाती है कि वह स्वयं के अस्तित्व और सुख-दुख को भूल जाती है, वैसे ही साधु संसार में रहकर भी सांसारिक मोह-माया से पूरी तरह मुक्त और तटस्थ रहता है।

Meaning: The realized soul is like a lotus leaf that dwells within the waters of the world yet remains untouched by them. Just as a mother, consumed by the selfless love for her child, forgets her own individual identity and personal needs, the seeker resides in the material realm while remaining entirely detached from its clinging attachments and illusions.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जब मनुष्य अपनी व्यर्थ की आशाओं का त्याग करता है, तब वह माया के बंधन से मुक्त होता है। जब मोह और अहंकार का अंत होता है, तब वह सुख-दुख और निंदा-स्तुति के द्वंद्व से ऊपर उठकर वास्तविक संतत्व या आत्म-साक्षात्कार की अवस्था को प्राप्त करता है।
