अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जो लोग मांस और मछली का सेवन करते हैं और शराब के प्रति गहरा लगाव रखते हैं, वे अपनी चेतना को अशुद्ध करते हैं। ऐसा आचरण उन्हें आध्यात्मिक पतन की ओर ले जाता है, जिससे उनका अंत उसी तरह विनाशकारी होता है जैसे कि जलमग्न या नष्ट हो चुके मूरी (एक प्रकार का अनाज) के खेत का होता है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that those who consume meat and fish and harbor a deep attachment to intoxicants pollute their inner consciousness. Such conduct leads to spiritual degradation, ensuring their downfall is as absolute and desolate as a ruined field of drowned grain, symbolizing a total loss of spiritual harvest.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि चाहे वह मुर्गी हो, हिरण हो या गाय, सबका मांस एक समान है। मनुष्य अपनी आँखों से भेद करके केवल कुछ विशेष जीवों को ही भोजन के रूप में चुनता है और उन्हें खाता है। जो लोग इस अज्ञानता और क्रूरता में लिप्त होकर मांस का सेवन करते हैं, वे आध्यात्मिक पतन और दुखों के गर्त में गिरते हैं।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that the flesh of a chicken, a deer, or a cow is essentially the same. Humans, driven by selective perception, choose specific creatures to consume based on arbitrary distinctions. Those who persist in this cycle of violence and ignorance, consuming the life-force of others, inevitably descend into spiritual darkness and suffer the consequences of their cruelty.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी इस दोहे के माध्यम से जीवन की नश्वरता और मृत्यु की अटल सच्चाई का वर्णन कर रहे हैं। वे कहते हैं कि एक समय ऐसा आएगा जब संसार के सभी सांसारिक बंधन टूट जाएंगे और कोई भी व्यक्ति किसी का नहीं रहेगा। यहाँ तक कि घर की पत्नी और शरीर रूपी माया भी साथ छोड़ देगी, जिससे मनुष्य पूर्णतः अकेला रह जाएगा।

Meaning: Kabir Das describes the inevitable reality of impermanence and death. He asserts that a day will come when all worldly bonds will dissolve, and no one will belong to anyone else. Even the domestic partner and the physical body—the ultimate vessel of identity—will depart, leaving the soul in absolute solitude.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि वे इस संसार रूपी बाज़ार में तटस्थ खड़े हैं, जहाँ वे बिना किसी भेदभाव के सभी के कल्याण की कामना करते हैं। उनका दृष्टिकोण ऐसा है जहाँ न तो किसी के प्रति विशेष मोह (दोस्ती) है और न ही किसी के प्रति कोई द्वेष (दुश्मनी), बल्कि एक पूर्ण संतुलन है।

He maintains a state of profound equilibrium where he is neither bound by the attachments of friendship nor consumed by the fires of enmity, embodying a universal benevolence.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि यह भौतिक संसार सेमल के फूल की तरह है, जो दिखने में अत्यंत आकर्षक और लाल होता है, लेकिन वास्तव में उसमें कोई सुगंध या स्थायी गुण नहीं होता। मनुष्य इस दुनिया के क्षणभंगुर आकर्षणों में इतना खो जाता है कि वह अपने वास्तविक आध्यात्मिक स्वरूप और ईश्वर के शाश्वत सत्य को पूरी तरह भुला बैठता है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that this material world is akin to the Semal (silk-cotton) flower, which appears strikingly vibrant and alluring but possesses no fragrance or enduring essence. Humans become so captivated by these fleeting worldly attractions that they entirely forget their true spiritual nature and the eternal truth of the Divine.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी इस दोहे के माध्यम से समय की अनिश्चितता और तात्कालिकता पर जोर देते हैं। वे कहते हैं कि जो कार्य कल के लिए निर्धारित है, उसे आज ही पूरा कर लेना चाहिए, और जो आज करना है, उसे इसी क्षण कर लेना चाहिए। क्योंकि जीवन क्षणभंगुर है और मृत्यु या प्रलय किसी भी पल आ सकती है, जिसके बाद पश्चाताप के अलावा कुछ नहीं बचेगा।

Meaning: Kabir emphasizes the uncertainty and urgency of time. He asserts that tasks deferred to tomorrow should be completed today, and those planned for today should be executed this very moment. अर्थ: जब गुरु और ईश्वर दोनों मेरे सामने खड़े हों, तो मैं पहले किसके चरण स्पर्श करूँ? मैं अपने गुरु पर न्योछावर होता हूँ, क्योंकि उन्होंने ही मुझे ईश्वर तक पहुँचने का मार्ग दिखाया और उनकी पहचान कराई।

Meaning: When both the spiritual teacher and the Divine stand before me, whose feet should I bow to first? I offer myself entirely to the Guru, for it is through the Guru's grace and guidance that I was able to recognize and reach the Divine.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि जिस हृदय में दया का वास होता है, वहीं वास्तविक धर्म निवास करता है। जहाँ लोभ और लालच होता है, वहाँ केवल पाप का जन्म होता है। क्रोध मनुष्य के लिए काल (मृत्यु) के समान विनाशकारी है, जबकि क्षमा और forgiving स्वभाव में स्वयं परमात्मा का वास होता है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that true righteousness (Dharma) resides where there is compassion. Conversely, greed is the breeding ground for sin. Anger is equated to the destructive force of time or death (Kaal), while the act of forgiveness is the dwelling place of the Divine Presence itself.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि किसी संत या ज्ञानी व्यक्ति की जाति या सामाजिक पृष्ठभूमि के बारे में पूछना व्यर्थ है; इसके बजाय उनके ज्ञान और बोध की गहराई को पहचानें। जिस प्रकार तलवार खरीदते समय उसकी धार और गुणवत्ता महत्वपूर्ण होती है, न कि उस म्यान की सुंदरता जिसमें वह रखी है, उसी प्रकार मनुष्य का मूल्य उसके आंतरिक गुणों और सत्य के अनुभव से होता है, न कि उसके जन्म या कुल से।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that inquiring about the caste or social lineage of a realized soul is a futile exercise; instead, one should seek the depth of their wisdom. Just as the value of a sword lies in its edge and strength rather than the ornate scabbard that holds it, the true worth of a human being is determined by their inner realization and spiritual insight, not by the circumstances of their birth or social standing.
