अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि बुढ़ापा एक शिकारी कुत्ते के समान है और यौवन एक डरपोक खरगोश की तरह। समय एक निरंतर चलने वाली शिकारीनी है। मनुष्य का शरीर इन दो कट्टर दुश्मनों (जवानी और बुढ़ापे) के बीच एक छोटी सी झोपड़ी के समान है; ऐसी अस्थिर स्थिति में कोई भी बाहरी मित्र या सांसारिक सहारा वास्तव में सहायक नहीं हो सकता।

Meaning: Kabir posits that old age is like a relentless hunting dog and youth is like a timid rabbit. Time is the eternal huntress. The human body is merely a fragile hut situated between these two fierce adversaries—youth and decay. In such a precarious and transient state, no worldly friend or material attachment can offer true security or lasting solace.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जीवन की युवावस्था बीत चुकी है, शारीरिक शक्ति कम हो गई है और बाल सफेद हो गए हैं। अब समय आ गया है कि हम अपने बिगड़े हुए आध्यात्मिक कार्यों को सुधारें और इस संसार के मोह-माया के बंधनों से मुक्ति का मार्ग खोजें।

Meaning: Kabir observes that the prime of youth has passed, physical strength has waned, and hair has turned grey. He urges the soul to rectify its neglected spiritual endeavors and seek a definitive way to liberate itself from the entanglements of worldly existence before time expires.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि मंजिल अभी बहुत दूर है और मार्ग में अज्ञानता की गहरी काली रात छाई हुई है। साधक इस अनिश्चितता में है कि जब ज्ञान का सूर्य उदय होगा, तब उसकी वास्तविक स्थिति क्या होगी और क्या वह उस प्रकाश को सहन करने या समझने के योग्य होगा।

Meaning: Kabir suggests that the spiritual destination is still far away, and the journey is currently shrouded in the dark night of ignorance. The seeker remains in a state of uncertainty, wondering what their state of being will be when the dawn of enlightenment finally breaks.

अर्थ: मनुष्य अपनी महत्वाकांक्षाओं में पूरी पृथ्वी को नापने का प्रयास करता है, समुद्रों को पार करने की इच्छा रखता है और अपने हाथों से पर्वतों को हिलाने की शक्ति चाहता है। किंतु, अंततः समय (काल) सबको निगल जाता है और मृत्यु अटल है।

Meaning: Man attempts to measure the entire earth with a single step, desires to cross the vast oceans, and seeks the power to move mountains with his hands. However, ultimately, Time (Kaal) consumes everything, and death remains the only absolute certainty.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि समय और कर्म का चक्र अत्यंत तीव्र और तात्कालिक है। इसलिए किसी के प्रति बुरा व्यवहार न करें। जो व्यक्ति दूसरों के साथ भलाई करता है, उसे अंततः अच्छाई ही प्राप्त होती है, और जो बुराई का मार्ग चुनता है, वह स्वयं बुराई के परिणामों में ही फंस जाता है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that time and the law of karma operate with immediate and inevitable precision. Therefore, one must refrain from causing harm to others. Those who sow seeds of kindness inevitably reap goodness, while those who engage in malice are destined to be consumed by the very negativity they create.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि यदि तुम्हें आध्यात्मिक ज्ञान या मोक्ष प्राप्त करना है, तो उसे अभी इसी क्षण प्राप्त करो। केवल दूसरों की सुनी-सुनाई बातों और परंपराओं पर भरोसा करने से कुछ नहीं होगा, क्योंकि ऐसी अंधश्रद्धा और बाहरी रीति-रिवाजों का पालन हमें जन्म-मृत्यु के अंतहीन चक्र में बांधे रखता है।

Meaning: Kabir urges that if one seeks spiritual awakening or liberation, it must be pursued with immediate urgency. Relying solely on hearsay, inherited traditions, or second-hand scriptures is futile, as such blind adherence to external rituals only serves to bind the soul to the eternal cycle of birth and death.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि मनुष्य को अपनी आध्यात्मिक पूँजी और सद्गुणों को अभी अपने हाथ में, अर्थात अपने नियंत्रण और सचेत अनुभव में रखना चाहिए। जब जीवन का समय समाप्त होगा और मृत्यु का बाज़ार आएगा, तो वहाँ कोई सांसारिक व्यापारी या मध्यस्थ नहीं होगा जो आपकी मदद कर सके; केवल वही साथ जाएगा जो आपने स्वयं अनुभव किया है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that one must secure their spiritual wealth and virtues within their own grasp—meaning through conscious experience and realization—while they still possess a physical body. When the final market of life arrives at the moment of death, there will be no worldly merchant or mediator to trade for you; you can only carry what you have truly internalized and realized within yourself.

अर्थ: मानव शरीर धारण करने का एकमात्र वास्तविक लाभ यह है कि इस भौतिक शरीर के माध्यम से हम आत्म-साक्षात्कार करें। यदि इस जीवन में हमने अपनी चेतना को जागृत नहीं किया, तो यह दुर्लभ अवसर हाथ से निकल जाएगा, क्योंकि यह शरीर ही वह एकमात्र साधन है जिससे मोक्ष या परम सत्य की प्राप्ति संभव है।

Meaning: The sole virtue of possessing a human body is to utilize this physical existence to realize the Divine. If one fails to awaken their consciousness during this tenure, the opportunity is lost, for the human form is the only vehicle capable of achieving liberation and understanding the ultimate truth.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि सत्य का मार्ग केवल उस परमात्मा (सह) के भीतर ही निहित है। जिस प्रकार रोटी का एक छोटा सा टुकड़ा भूख मिटाने के लिए पर्याप्त होता है, उसी प्रकार परमात्मा का थोड़ा सा अनुभव भी जीवन के सारे दुखों को समाप्त कर देता है। जो व्यक्ति वास्तव में ईश्वर का दास या समर्पित सेवक बन जाता है, उसके जीवन में फिर कभी कोई त्रुटि या आध्यात्मिक चूक नहीं रहती।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that the path of Truth resides solely within the Divine (Sah). Just as a small morsel of bread suffices to satiate hunger, a mere glimpse of the Divine Truth is enough to dissolve all worldly suffering. He suggests that for the one who has truly become a servant of the Truth, there is no longer any room for spiritual error or deviation from the path of righteousness.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जब कोई अज्ञानी या अहंकारी व्यक्ति आपको अपशब्द कहे या आलोचना करे, तो उसे चुपचाप स्वीकार कर लें और आगे बढ़ें। गुरु की इस शिक्षा को आत्मसात करें कि मूर्खों और कुत्तों की तरह भौंकने वालों को उत्तर देना समय और ऊर्जा की व्यर्थता है। मौन ही सबसे श्रेष्ठ उत्तर है।

Meaning: Kabir advises that when an ignorant or arrogant person insults you or criticizes you unfairly, accept it silently and move forward. Embrace the Guru's teaching that responding to those who act like mindless dogs or foolish people is a waste of spiritual energy. Silence is the most profound and powerful response to ignorance.
