अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि मनुष्य अपने पारिवारिक गौरव, कुल की मर्यादा और सामाजिक प्रतिष्ठा के अहंकार में इतना अंधा हो जाता है कि वह ईश्वर (राम) को अपने से दूर कर देता है। जब व्यक्ति बाहरी दिखावे और कुल की झूठी शान में डूबा रहता है, तब वह उस आंतरिक सत्य से पूरी तरह कट जाता है जो वास्तव में उसे मुक्ति दिला सकता है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that a human being becomes so blinded by the pride of lineage, familial honor, and social prestige that they distance themselves from the Divine (Ram). When one is immersed in the superficial display of status and the vanity of ancestral glory, they lose touch with the internal truth that is the only path to liberation.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जिस प्रकार एक जुलाहा कपड़े बुनता है, लेकिन यदि धागा कमजोर हो या बुनाई में त्रुटि हो, तो पानी (अशुद्धि या रिक्तता) किनारे से बाहर निकल आता है। इसी प्रकार, मनुष्य के जीवन का वह हिसाब-किताब जो उसने अहंकार और अज्ञान में लिखा है, अंततः प्रकट होगा। यदि कोई इस अटल सत्य से भागना चाहता है, तो वह चाहे कितनी भी कोशिश कर ले, बच नहीं पाएगा।

Meaning: Kabir explains that just as a weaver works the loom, if the weave is flawed, the water (impurities or gaps) seeps through the edges. Similarly, the spiritual account of a human life, written in the ink of ego and ignorance, will eventually be revealed. No matter how fast one runs or how hard one tries to evade the consequences of their internal state, the ultimate truth of their existence remains inescapable.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि हे प्रिय मित्र, तुम बारी-बारी से अलग-अलग रास्तों पर भटकते रहे हो, लेकिन जब तुम्हारी वास्तविक बारी आई और तुमने अंतर्मुखी होना सीखा, तब यह हृदय निरंतर उस परमात्मा के निकट आने लगा। यह आत्मा की अपनी मूल स्थिति की ओर वापसी की यात्रा है।

Meaning: Kabir addresses the soul as a dear friend, noting that it has wandered through various cycles and diversions. However, when the true moment of awakening arrives, the heart begins to draw closer and closer to the Divine, signaling a return to the original source of existence.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जिन घरों में संगीत और उत्सव का शोर होता है, जहाँ छतीस प्रकार के राग बजते हैं और वैभव का प्रदर्शन होता है, वे घर भी अंततः खाली हो जाते हैं। समय के चक्र में वह सारा ऐश्वर्य नष्ट हो जाता है और अंत में वहाँ केवल कौवे आकर बैठते हैं, जो शून्यता और मृत्यु का प्रतीक हैं।

Meaning: Kabir observes that houses echoing with the sound of royal drums and the complexity of thirty-six melodic ragas—symbols of peak worldly luxury and celebration—eventually fall into silence. In the inevitable cycle of time, all such grandeur vanishes, leaving the mansions empty and desolate, where only crows now perch, symbolizing the ultimate void and the certainty of death.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि यह मानव शरीर एक अतिथि की तरह है और आत्मा एक प्रवासी हंस है जो इस भौतिक संसार में अस्थायी रूप से ठहरा हुआ है। मृत्यु का समय अनिश्चित है, इसलिए इस नश्वर शरीर पर भरोसा करना व्यर्थ है क्योंकि यह किसी भी क्षण छूट सकता है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that the human body is merely a guest, and the soul is like a migratory swan residing temporarily within this physical frame. Since the moment of departure is unpredictable, placing absolute trust or attachment in this transient body is futile, as it can vanish at any instant.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि वह व्यक्ति जिसे अहंकार ने घेर लिया है, उसे कितना भी समझाया जाए वह समझ नहीं पाता। वह गुरु के ज्ञानपूर्ण शब्दों को तुच्छ या व्यर्थ मानता है क्योंकि उसे भ्रम है कि वह पहले से ही सब कुछ जानता है। अहंकार सत्य के मार्ग में सबसे बड़ी बाधा है।

Meaning: Kabir observes that a person blinded by arrogance remains impervious to guidance, no matter how much they are enlightened. Such an individual dismisses the Guru's sacred words as trivial or irrelevant, driven by the delusion of omniscience—the false belief that they already possess all knowledge.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी पूछते हैं कि मनुष्य अपनी अनमोल आध्यात्मिक निधि (नरतन) को इंद्रियों के क्षणिक सुखों और सांसारिक वासनाओं के पीछे भागकर क्यों नष्ट कर रहा है? वे चेतावनी देते हैं कि जो व्यक्ति पांच इंद्रियों के वशीभूत होकर जीता है, वह वास्तव में अपनी ही कुल्हाड़ी से अपने आत्मिक अस्तित्व की जड़ें काट रहा है।

Meaning: Kabir asks why a human wastes their priceless spiritual jewel (nartan) by chasing the fleeting pleasures of the senses. He warns that the foolish person, driven by the five senses, is effectively using five axes to chop down their own spiritual foundation and self-realization.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि इस संसार में हर व्यक्ति एक-दूसरे का हाल-चाल पूछ रहा है और कुशलता की कामना कर रहा है, परंतु वास्तव में यहाँ कोई भी पूरी तरह कुशल या सुरक्षित नहीं है। जो व्यक्ति वृद्ध हो गया, जो मृत्यु के करीब है या जो पहले ही मर चुका है, वह तो अकुशल है ही, लेकिन जो जीवित है वह भी मृत्यु के भय से मुक्त नहीं है; अतः इस नश्वर संसार में वास्तविक 'कुशलता' की खोज निरर्थक है।

Meaning: Kabir observes that while people in this world constantly inquire about each other's well-being and seek security, in reality, no one is truly safe or 'well.' Those who have aged, those who are dying, and those who have already passed are obviously not well, but even the living are haunted by the inevitability of death; therefore, seeking absolute wellness or permanent security in this transient world is a futile pursuit.
