आध्यात्मिक समानता (Spiritual Equality) — Kabir Dohas

अर्थ: इस संसार के समस्त विविध रंग और रूप एक ही मूल रंग से उत्पन्न हुए हैं। जब हम गहराई से देखते हैं, तो पाते हैं कि सारी विविधता वास्तव में एक ही सत्य का विस्तार है। अब साधक को यह विवेक करना है कि वह स्वयं किस रंग में रंगा है—सांसारिक मोह में या उस शाश्वत परमात्मा के रंग में।

Meaning: All the diverse colors and forms of this world have emerged from a single, primordial hue. When observed with spiritual clarity, all multiplicity is revealed as an extension of one singular Truth. The seeker is now urged to use discernment to identify their own color—whether they are dyed in the fleeting tints of worldly attachment or the eternal color of the Divine.

अर्थ: इस दोहे में कबीर कहते हैं कि समस्त मानवता की उत्पत्ति इसी पृथ्वी से हुई है और यही धरती हम सभी का पालन-पोषण करती है। विडंबना यह है कि जिस धरती ने सबको जीवन दिया, वह स्वयं अपने गुणों और अपनी महानता से अनभिज्ञ है। कबीर हमें ऐसे गुरु के सानिध्य में रहने की प्रेरणा देते हैं जो हमें इसी प्रकार की निस्वार्थ सेवा और विनम्रता का बोध करा सकें।

Meaning: In this couplet, Kabir asserts that all of humanity originates from the earth, and it is this very earth that sustains and nurtures every living being. The profound irony lies in the fact that the earth, despite providing life to all, remains unaware of its own virtues and greatness. अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि जिस प्रकार एक शेर जंगल में अकेला घूमता है और पूरे वन को अपना साम्राज्य मानता है, ठीक उसी प्रकार एक आत्म-साक्षात्कारी व्यक्ति इस संसार में अकेला रहकर भी पूर्ण है। उसके लिए हर स्थान उसका अपना घर है क्योंकि वह सर्वत्र उसी एक परमात्मा का रूप देखता है।

Meaning: Kabir suggests that just as a lion roams the forest alone, claiming the entire wilderness as its own domain, a self-realized soul exists in this world in solitary spiritual independence. To such a person, every place becomes their own home because they perceive the single Divine presence pervading all existence.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि ईश्वर की कृपा और प्रेम का रस मूसलाधार बारिश की तरह बरस रहा है, जिससे बड़े-बड़े पहाड़ और पर्वत भी पूरी तरह भीग चुके हैं। लेकिन विडंबना यह है कि कुछ लोग अभी भी अपनी छोटी सी छतरी तानकर खड़े हैं, ताकि वे इस दिव्य प्रेम की एक बूंद से भी बच सकें।

Meaning: Kabir proclaims that the divine nectar of God's grace is raining down in torrents, saturating even the highest mountains and deepest valleys. Yet, in a profound irony, some individuals remain huddled under tiny umbrellas of ego and preconceived notions, desperately shielding themselves from being touched by a single drop of this universal love.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि यदि कोई चंदन के वृक्ष के निकट रहता है, तो उसकी नींव और आसपास की मिट्टी भी चंदन की सुगंध से सराबोर हो जाती है। इसी प्रकार, यदि कोई महान और आध्यात्मिक संतों की संगति में रहता है, तो वह भी उनके गुणों को आत्मसात कर लेता है। चेतावनी यह है कि बुरी संगति में पड़कर अपना वंश या अस्तित्व नष्ट न करें।

Meaning: Kabir explains that proximity to a sandalwood tree permeates even the foundation and surrounding soil with its divine fragrance. Similarly, associating with enlightened souls transforms one's own nature. He warns against the perils of bad company, suggesting that just as a noble lineage can be ruined by poor associations, an individual's spiritual essence can be lost if they align themselves with ignorance.

अर्थ: परमात्मा अगम (पहुंच से बाहर) और अगोचर (इंद्रियों से परे) है, वहां कोई साधारण प्रयास नहीं पहुंच सकता, फिर भी वहां एक दिव्य प्रकाश चमक रहा है। कबीर कहते हैं कि जहां पूर्ण समर्पण और सच्ची बंदगी होती है, वहां पाप, पुण्य और छुआछूत जैसे सांसारिक द्वंद्व पूरी तरह समाप्त हो जाते हैं।

Meaning: The Divine is inaccessible and beyond the reach of the senses; no ordinary effort can attain that realm, yet a brilliant light shines there. Kabir asserts that in the state of true devotion and surrender, the dualities of sin, merit, and social distinctions like untouchability cease to exist entirely.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जिस कठिन मार्ग पर बड़े-बड़े विद्वान और पूरी दुनिया असफल रही और बाहर रह गई, उस अत्यंत दुर्गम और गहरी आध्यात्मिक घाटी को गुरु ने कबीर को पार करना सिखाया। अब कबीर उस सर्वोच्च शिखर पर स्थित हैं जहाँ पहुँचना साधारण बुद्धि के लिए असंभव है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that the path to ultimate truth is so treacherous and steep that even the most learned scholars and the entire world have failed to navigate it, falling away in their attempts. However, through the grace and guidance of the Guru, Kabir has successfully ascended and now resides upon that peak of consciousness which remains inaccessible to the ego-driven mind.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जब पीली हल्दी और सफेद चूना आपस में मिलते हैं, तो वे दोनों अपना मूल रंग खो देते हैं और एक नए रंग में बदल जाते हैं। इसी प्रकार, जब एक भक्त परमात्मा (राम) के प्रेम में पूरी तरह विलीन हो जाता है, तो उसकी व्यक्तिगत पहचान और अहंकार समाप्त हो जाते हैं, और वह ईश्वर के साथ एकाकार हो जाता है।

Meaning: Kabir explains that when yellow turmeric and white lime merge, both lose their original colors to create a new hue. Similarly, when a seeker merges into the divine love of Ram, their individual identity and ego are dissolved, leading to a state of complete oneness where the distinction between the devotee and the Divine vanishes.

अर्थ: जब मनुष्य के भीतर का द्वैत समाप्त हो जाता है, तब उसे काबा और काशी में कोई अंतर नहीं दिखता। राम और रहीम एक ही परम सत्य के दो नाम बन जाते हैं। जैसे मोटा आटा पीसकर महीन मैदा बन जाता है, वैसे ही आध्यात्मिक परिपक्वता से जीवन का हर अनुभव आनंदमय और एकीकृत हो जाता है।

Meaning: When the duality within a human vanishes, the distinction between Kaba and Kashi disappears. Ram and Rahim become two names for the same Ultimate Truth. Just as coarse grain is ground into fine flour, spiritual maturity transforms the fragmented experiences of life into a unified, blissful state of being.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि एक सच्चा साधु वह है जिसने केवल एक लंगोटी धारण की है और वह सांसारिक संदेहों या मोह-माया के बंधनों को नहीं मानता। जो व्यक्ति राम नाम के नशे में लीन रहता है और जिसकी चेतना सदैव परमात्मा में विलीन है, वह बाहरी दुनिया की दृष्टि में भले ही दरिद्र हो, परंतु वास्तव में वह इंद्र जैसे देवताओं से भी अधिक समृद्ध है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that a true seeker is one who wears a simple loincloth and remains untouched by the doubts and attachments of the material world. One who is intoxicated by the divine name of Ram and remains eternally absorbed in the Mother-source of consciousness may appear as a pauper to the world, yet in spiritual reality, they possess a wealth that far surpasses even the riches of Indra, the king of gods.
