अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि यदि कोई व्यक्ति शुकदेव जैसी गहन आध्यात्मिक दृष्टि और समर्पण प्राप्त कर ले, तभी वह इस संसार रूपी सागर से पार उतर सकता है। बिना गुरु के मार्गदर्शन के, मनुष्य अज्ञानता में डूबा रहता है और जन्म-मृत्यु के चौरासी लाख योनियों के चक्र में भटकता रहता है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that only those who cultivate a spiritual vision and surrender akin to the sage Shukdev can transcend the ocean of worldly existence. अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि मनुष्य को सांसारिक सुखों और इंद्रिय सुखों के मोह को त्यागकर गुरु की सच्ची भक्ति में लीन होना चाहिए। यह मानव जीवन अत्यंत दुर्लभ है और यह बार-बार प्राप्त नहीं होता, इसलिए इस अनमोल अवसर को व्यर्थ नहीं गंवाना चाहिए।

अर्थ: संसार के लोग निरंतर मृत्यु के भय से ग्रस्त हैं और अपनी विपत्तियों के अंत की प्रार्थना करते हैं। किंतु कबीर कहते हैं कि जिस 'अहंकार' रूपी झूठे व्यक्तित्व को मरना था, वह ज्ञान के प्रकाश में पहले ही मर चुका है। अब जो शेष है, वह अविनाशी आत्मा है, जिसकी मृत्यु संभव नहीं है।

Meaning: Kabir explains that when the strings of a musical instrument snap, it ceases to produce sound. Similarly, the human body and mind are like an instrument; once the Divine Musician—the soul or the Supreme Consciousness—departs, the physical form becomes a mere lifeless shell, devoid of purpose or essence.

The material world and the attachments we cultivate are like a temporary village; eventually, this dwelling will be deserted as the soul departs from the transient realm toward the eternal.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि उस दिन को याद करो जब मृत्यु के समय शरीर की स्थिति अत्यंत दयनीय हो जाती है—पैर ऊपर और सिर नीचे। जब मनुष्य मृत्यु के मंडल में प्रवेश करता है, तब वह उस परमात्मा (जगदीस) को पूरी तरह भूल जाता है जिसे उसने जीवन भर अनदेखा किया था।

Meaning: Kabir urges us to contemplate the moment of death, where the physical body is rendered helpless, often overturned in its final rites. He warns that upon entering the realm of the dead, the soul realizes it has forgotten the Divine (Jagdees) throughout its earthly existence, leading to a profound spiritual void.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि समय का चक्र एक चक्की की तरह निरंतर चल रहा है, जिसमें दिन और रात बिना रुके बीत रहे हैं। इस चक्की के दो पाट हैं—एक सगुण (साकार रूप) और दूसरा निर्गुण (निराकार रूप), और इन दोनों के बीच में फँसकर मनुष्य का अस्तित्व और उसकी चेतना निरंतर पिस रही है।

Meaning: Kabir describes the wheel of time as a relentless grinding mill that turns day and night without cease.
