अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि चाहे आकाश में चंद्रमा उगे या करोड़ों सूर्य एक साथ चमकें, वे केवल बाहरी अंधकार को मिटा सकते हैं। लेकिन आत्मा के भीतर जो अज्ञान का गहरा अंधेरा है, वह किसी भौतिक प्रकाश से नहीं, बल्कि केवल एक सच्चे गुरु के ज्ञान रूपी प्रकाश से ही नष्ट हो सकता है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that even if the moon rises or millions of suns shine simultaneously, they can only dispel physical darkness. However, the profound darkness of ignorance residing within the soul cannot be erased by any material light; it can only be annihilated by the spiritual illumination provided by a true Guru.

अर्थ: जो व्यक्ति अपने गुरु को केवल एक साधारण हाड़-मांस का मनुष्य समझता है, वह वास्तव में आध्यात्मिक अंधापन का शिकार है। ऐसा व्यक्ति इस भौतिक संसार के दुखों से मुक्त नहीं हो पाता और अंततः अज्ञानता के कारण जन्म-मृत्यु के चक्र और यमराज के पाश में फँसा रहता है।

Meaning: Those who perceive their Guru as merely a physical human being are considered spiritually blind. Such individuals remain trapped in the sorrows of the worldly existence and eventually fall into the snare of Yama, the lord of death, due to their inability to recognize the divine light within the teacher.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि मैं दुनिया की भीड़ और वेदों के कर्मकांडों के पीछे आँख मूँदकर चल रहा था, लेकिन जीवन के मार्ग पर मुझे एक सच्चे गुरु मिले जिन्होंने मेरे हाथ में ज्ञान का दीपक थमा दिया, जिससे मेरा अंधकार मिट गया।

Meaning: Kabir reflects that he was blindly following the crowd and the rigid rituals of the scriptures, drifting without true direction. However, he encountered a True Teacher (Satguru) who handed him the lamp of spiritual awakening, illuminating the path to truth and dissolving his ignorance.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि केवल माला जपने या माथे पर तिलक लगाने जैसे बाहरी आडंबरों से सच्ची भक्ति प्राप्त नहीं होती। व्यक्ति बाहरी रूप को धार्मिक बना लेता है, लेकिन उसका मन और आचरण अभी भी सांसारिक मोह-माया और दुनियादारी के पीछे भाग रहा है, जिससे वास्तविक आध्यात्मिक उन्नति संभव नहीं है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that true devotion cannot be attained simply through external rituals like wearing prayer beads or applying a sectarian mark on the forehead. While one may adopt the outward appearance of a devotee, if the inner consciousness remains enslaved to worldly desires and social conformity, the essence of spirituality remains elusive.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि माला जपना और माथे पर तिलक लगाना केवल बाहरी दिखावा या भेष है। ईश्वर की वास्तविक भक्ति इससे पूरी तरह भिन्न है। वे उन लोगों पर कटाक्ष करते हैं जो बाहरी प्रतीकों को धारण करते हैं लेकिन अपने मन के भीतर पांचों इंद्रियों और विकारों को नियंत्रित नहीं कर पाते।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that those who practice devotion in fragments or through superficial displays falsely claim the status of a spiritual heir. In reality, those blinded by Maya are merely pretenders, and countless souls remain lost in the cycle of existence due to this illusory approach to spirituality.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि बाहरी तंत्र-मंत्र, कर्मकांड और जादुई अनुष्ठान सब व्यर्थ हैं। इन भ्रमों में पड़कर अपना समय नष्ट न करें। जब तक मनुष्य उस 'सार शब्द' या आंतरिक सत्य का अनुभव नहीं करता, तब तक वह अज्ञानी कौवे के समान ही रहता है; वह कभी ज्ञान रूपी हंस नहीं बन सकता।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that all external rituals, occult practices, and mechanical incantations are illusions. He warns the world against being deceived by these superficialities. Without the realization of the 'Essential Word' or the inner Truth, a human remains as a crow—blinded by ignorance—and can never evolve into a swan of spiritual wisdom.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि मनुष्य पत्थर लेकर मंदिर बनाता है और उसमें एक विशाल मूर्ति स्थापित करता है। यदि वह पत्थर की मूर्ति टूट जाए, तो भी वह पत्थर का ही एक निर्जीव टुकड़ा रहता है। ऐसे में, वह निर्जीव पत्थर किसी का उद्धार कैसे कर सकता है जो स्वयं जड़ है?

Meaning: Kabir questions the futility of idol worship, noting that humans carve temples and install massive stone idols. अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि मनुष्य पत्थर की मूर्तियों की पूजा करके इस संसार रूपी सागर से पार उतरना चाहता है। यह वैसा ही है जैसे कोई नदी पार करने के लिए पानी में उतरने के बजाय, अपने सिर पर भारी पत्थर रखकर नदी में कूद जाए; वह पार होने के बजाय डूब जाएगा।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that humans seek liberation from the cycle of worldly existence by worshipping stone idols. He compares this act to someone attempting to cross a river by carrying a heavy stone upon their head; instead of reaching the other shore, the weight of the stone ensures they sink into the depths.
