अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि मैंने दुनिया के सभी रासायनिक प्रयोग और कीमियागरी आजमा ली, लेकिन ईश्वर (हरि) जैसा कोई दूसरा पारस नहीं मिला। यदि ईश्वर का एक छोटा सा अंश भी हृदय रूपी घड़े में प्रवेश कर जाए, तो जीवन का सारा अस्तित्व सोने की तरह शुद्ध और मूल्यवान हो जाता है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that he has explored all the alchemical secrets and worldly remedies, yet found none as potent as the Divine. अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि इस चंचल और अहंकारी मन को पूरी तरह से पराजित कर देना चाहिए ताकि व्यक्ति का 'अहं' या 'मैं' पूरी तरह समाप्त हो जाए। जब साधक प्रेम में इतना पागल हो जाता है कि वह केवल अपने प्रिय (परमात्मा) का ही जाप करता रहता है, तब मृत्यु या काल का भय समाप्त हो जाता है और वह जन्म-मरण के चक्र से मुक्त हो जाता है।

Meaning: Kabir urges the seeker to decisively overthrow the restless and egoistic mind so that the sense of 'I-ness' or the individual ego is completely annihilated. अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जिस प्रकार एक विशाल वृक्ष को फल देने में लंबा समय लगता है और वह पूरे बारह महीने धैर्यपूर्वक प्रतीक्षा करता है, उसी प्रकार आध्यात्मिक पूर्णता और सत्य का अनुभव प्राप्त करने के लिए साधक को धैर्य रखना चाहिए। वृक्ष अपनी शीतल छाया और मीठे फलों से पक्षियों और राहगीरों को सुख देता है, ठीक वैसे ही एक परिपक्व आत्मा अपनी स्थिरता से संसार को शांति प्रदान करती है।
