अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जब जल के भीतर ही अग्नि लग गई और कमल के तने जलकर राख हो गए, तब उत्तर और दक्षिण के सभी विद्वान और पंडित चकित रह गए और इस असंभव घटना पर विचार करते रह गए। यह एक आध्यात्मिक रूपक है जो तर्क की सीमाओं को दर्शाता है।

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जिस वन में हिरण ने कभी क्रीड़ा की थी, आनंद मनाया था और निश्चिंत होकर विचरण किया था, आज उसी वन में आग लगी हुई है और वह हिरण असहाय होकर रो रहा है और पुकार रहा है। यह भौतिक संसार की नश्वरता और मोह के जाल का संकेत है।

अर्थ: जो व्यक्ति 'मैं' या अहंकार के भाव में डूबा रहता है, वह कभी भी वास्तविक प्रेम या आध्यात्मिक शांति का अनुभव नहीं कर सकता। लेकिन जिसने एक बार उस परमात्मा या सत्य के साथ निस्वार्थ प्रेम का बंधन बना लिया, वह दुनिया के सभी मोह-माया और मानसिक बोझ को त्याग कर पूर्णतः मुक्त और शांत हो जाता है।

Meaning: He who is consumed by the 'I'—the ego—cannot graze in the pastures of divine love or find lasting peace. However, once a soul binds itself in the selfless bond of love with the Eternal Truth, it casts aside all worldly burdens and anxieties, attaining a state of absolute surrender and liberation.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जो व्यक्ति अपने अहंकार (मैं) को त्यागकर उस अविगत (अज्ञात/निराकार) परमात्मा में लीन हो जाता है, उसकी समस्त सांसारिक आशाएं और इच्छाएं समाप्त हो जाती हैं। जब हृदय में केवल राम-नाम का रस बसा रहता है, तब व्यक्ति जीवित रहते हुए ही मोक्ष की अवस्था को प्राप्त कर लेता है, जो जन्म-मृत्यु के चक्र से परे है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that one who dissolves the ego (the 'I') and becomes absorbed in the Unknowable (Avigat) transcends all worldly desires and expectations. When the heart is saturated with the essence of the Divine Name (Ram), the seeker achieves liberation while still embodied, surpassing the conventional cycle of birth and death to reach a state of living emancipation.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जिस व्यक्ति का अहंकार रूपी घड़ा अभी तक डूबा नहीं है, वह केवल बाहरी दिखावे और कर्मकांडीय स्नान से स्वयं को शुद्ध नहीं कर सकता। जिस प्रकार एक चित्रकार अपनी कलम की एक रेखा से पूरी आकृति को बदल देता है या उसे गहराई देता है, उसी प्रकार वास्तविक परिवर्तन केवल आंतरिक ज्ञान और अहंकार के विसर्जन से ही संभव है, न कि केवल बाहरी क्रियाओं से।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that as long as the pot of ego remains afloat and refuses to sink, mere ritualistic bathing and external scrubbing will not cleanse the soul.
