Famous Kabir Dohe on Nirguna Brahman —

Meaning: Kabir asserts that the words emanating from one's mouth determine the direction and quality of one's life journey. He suggests that a person whose speech is aligned with truth and divine love remains in close proximity to the Supreme Absolute (Parabrahma), achieving spiritual liberation and ultimate fulfillment in a mere instant.

Meaning: Kabir suggests that one should engage in the service of the Saguna (the manifest, form-based aspect of the Divine) while simultaneously seeking the knowledge of the Nirguna (the unmanifest, formless Absolute). He asserts that the Nirguna transcends all forms and attributes, and it is in that formless void that his own consciousness is anchored.

Meaning: Kabir posits that the entire universe is like a clay pot, crafted by the Divine and placed upon the wall of existence. Upon deep contemplation and spiritual scrutiny, one realizes that there is no entity independent of the Divine; everything we perceive as separate is merely a manifestation of the one singular, universal consciousness.

Meaning: The dwelling place of a realized saint is so subtle and profound that neither Brahma nor the Vedas can perceive it. While the six schools of philosophy engage in endless intellectual disputes and noise, the secret of ultimate truth is realized only by the rare few who transcend the intellect to experience the divine directly.

Meaning: Kabir asserts that within the core of the soul, there is no division or duality, although the external world presents a facade of endless multiplicity. He suggests that once a seeker realizes the truth within, the perceived boundary between the inner self and the outer universe dissolves into a singular, unified existence.

Meaning: Kabir expresses that the divine essence he sought through endless searching was nowhere to be found in external forms. He eventually discovers the true knower of essence—one who is liberated from the three gunas (qualities) and is completely absorbed in the formless, attributeless Absolute.

Meaning: Kabir asserts that a true seeker or realized soul is like a diamond—indestructible and pure. Just as a diamond remains unbroken despite the heaviest pressure and resists decay, the enlightened being remains unaffected by the turbulence of the material world. Unlike a clay pot that shatters easily, the realized soul transcends the fragile cycle of birth and death, merging into the eternal, unchanging Absolute.

Meaning: Kabir asserts that the Primordial Name (Aadi Naam) acts as the mythical philosopher's stone (Paras), capable of transforming base metal into gold. The human mind is currently like rusted, soiled iron—heavy and impure. However, upon touching the divine vibration of the Name, the mind is transmuted into pure gold, liberating the soul from the shackles of worldly attachment and delusion.

Meaning: By incessantly chanting and contemplating the Divine 'Thou', the seeker eventually becomes that very Essence. The mind has merged completely into the Infinite, leaving no room for wandering or longing elsewhere, as the ultimate destination has been realized within.

Meaning: Kabir asserts that the manifest world and the divine essence are fundamentally one and the same. Although we perceive two distinct bodies or forms, the vital life-force animating them is a single, undivided entity. This truth cannot be grasped through intellectual reasoning but must be realized through the depths of one's own inner consciousness and intuitive experience.
