Meaning: Kabir explains that when the soul rushes in an intense longing for the Divine, the worldly people mistake this spiritual ecstasy for a physical ailment or madness. In reality, the seeker is practicing the yoga of divine union by consistently transcending the limitations of the physical body and sensory desires.

Meaning: Kabir asserts that if one can identify the true 'wealth' or spiritual capital within, they can attain union with the Divine (Ram). However, he reflects on his own perceived helplessness, suggesting that without the authentic witness or guidance of a realized soul like Sukhdev, the path to liberation remains obscured by the veil of ignorance.

Meaning: In this couplet, Kabir suggests that when the spiritual gem or inner light within the body awakens, a person becomes detached from external rituals and worldly attachments. Even if they do not appear to be engaged in conventional worship of a deity, they are anchored in the ultimate Truth. Just as Gorakhnath attained immortality through his rigorous internal alchemy, anyone in this age of Kali who realizes their true self achieves a state of spiritual immortality.

Meaning: If a person's heart is deeply enamored by worldly pleasures and sensory attachments, the Divine cannot reside within. Conversely, once the Divine takes abode in the heart, the mind naturally ceases to crave the illusory attractions of the material world.

Meaning: In the heart where worldly attachment, doubt, and duality reside, the formless Divine (Ram) cannot be found. When a true devotee and the Divine are united in selfless love, all separation vanishes, and no third entity can exist between them, achieving a state of absolute oneness.

Meaning: Kabir explains that in this world, most people form bonds and recognize kinship only based on mutual selfishness or personal gain. However, the individual who offers respect and kindness to others without any expectation of reward or ulterior motive is the one who has truly realized and embodied the divine love of Hari.

Meaning: One whose heart has become the abode of the Divine cannot possibly remain in the shadows of ignorance. No matter how much one attempts to suppress or conceal that inner radiance through worldly efforts or external pressures, the light of Truth inevitably shines through.

Meaning: Kabir proclaims that he searched the entire horizon with an open, piercing gaze, yet found no external deity or savior. He concludes with the realization that since the Divine resides within the heart of every single being, it is impossible for the Truth to be hidden or absent from any living soul.

Meaning: Kabir asserts that the Divine resides within the vessel of every single human heart; there is not a single soul devoid of this sacred presence. However, truly fortunate are those within whom this Divine essence awakens and reveals itself, transforming mere existence into conscious realization.

Meaning: Kabir asserts that only the Creator (Khalik) is truly awake, while the rest of the world slumbers in the depths of ignorance. He suggests that if a human being can awaken from this spiritual lethargy, the poison of ego and worldly desires within them will be annihilated, allowing them to achieve a state of genuine devotion and selfless service to the Divine.
