अर्थ: जब तक मेरे भीतर अहंकार (मैं) मौजूद था, तब तक मुझे सच्चे गुरु का अनुभव नहीं हुआ। अब जब गुरु की कृपा और ज्ञान ने मुझे आत्मसात कर लिया है, तो मेरा अहंकार पूरी तरह मिट चुका है। प्रेम का मार्ग इतना संकरा है कि वहां अहंकार और परमात्मा (या गुरु) दोनों एक साथ नहीं रह सकते; एक का होना दूसरे के विलोपन की शर्त है।

Meaning: As long as the 'I' (the ego) existed within me, the true Guru was absent. Now that the Guru's grace and wisdom have dawned, the ego has vanished. The alley of divine love is so narrow that it cannot accommodate two entities—the ego and the Divine; for one to enter, the other must inevitably depart.

Meaning: Kabir asserts that wherever the seeker attempts to grasp or measure the Truth through the senses or the intellect, the Truth remains absent. The foolish wander in delusion, chasing the mere shadows of words and linguistic constructs, failing to realize that the Ultimate Reality transcends all verbal descriptions.

Meaning: A true seeker does not tie knots of attachment, grudge, or expectation within the heart. They accept whatever life provides with a sense of equanimity and balance. Aware that the Divine permeates every direction, they remain poised in faith, knowing that sustenance and grace will manifest precisely when truly needed.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी चेतावनी देते हैं कि दूसरों पर निर्भर रहकर या बाहरी सहारे की प्रतीक्षा करना व्यर्थ है। जिस प्रकार एक बकरा कसाई के भरोसे निश्चिंत बैठा रहता है, जबकि कसाई उसे मारने की योजना बना रहा होता है, उसी प्रकार मनुष्य सांसारिक मोह और झूठे विश्वासों में डूबा रहता है जबकि समय (यम) निरंतर उसकी आयु और जीवन को नष्ट कर रहा है।

Meaning: Kabir warns that relying on others or waiting for external salvation is a futile endeavor. Just as a goat remains complacent in the trust of the butcher, unaware that its end is imminent, humans linger in worldly attachments and false assurances while Time (Yama) relentlessly consumes their life and spiritual essence.

Meaning: Before the Divine, only truth prevails, and only truth is pleasing to the Creator. Whether a person speaks the truth openly or suppresses it within, the fundamental reality of truth remains unchanged. Ultimately, only that which is authentic and honest stands before the Almighty; external pretenses or strategic silences hold no value.

अर्थ: एक सच्चा योद्धा वह है जो युद्ध के मैदान को कभी नहीं छोड़ता और दो विरोधी सेनाओं के बीच डटकर लड़ता है। वह अपने मन में न तो जीवन की आशा रखता है और न ही मृत्यु का भय, बल्कि केवल अपने कर्तव्य और वर्तमान क्षण के संघर्ष में लीन रहता है।

Meaning: A true warrior is one who never abandons the battlefield and fights resolutely amidst two opposing forces. Such a soul harbors neither the longing for life nor the fear of death, remaining entirely absorbed in the duty of the present struggle.
