अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जब मनुष्य की विवेक बुद्धि नष्ट हो जाती है, तो वह सच्चे संत और पाखंडी के बीच अंतर नहीं कर पाता। आज के युग में, जिस व्यक्ति के चारों ओर अनुयायियों की भीड़ होती है, लोग उसे ही महान संत या महंत मान लेते हैं, चाहे उसका चरित्र कैसा भी हो।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that when the eye of discernment is blinded, one loses the ability to distinguish between a true enlightened soul and a pretender. In a world driven by appearances, the person surrounded by a crowd of followers is erroneously labeled a great saint, regardless of their actual spiritual depth.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जिस व्यक्ति के हृदय में दया और करुणा का अभाव है, भले ही उसने कितना ही अधिक शास्त्र ज्ञान या बौद्धिक विदुत्ता प्राप्त कर ली हो, वह व्यर्थ है। केवल शब्दों और उपदेशों को सुनने से मोक्ष नहीं मिलता; यदि व्यवहार में प्रेम और दया नहीं है, तो ऐसा ज्ञान व्यक्ति को आध्यात्मिक पतन की ओर ले जाता है।

Meaning: Kabir questions the very notion of 'showing mercy' to others or labeling someone as 'cruel.' He asserts that every living being, from the smallest ant to the most majestic elephant, is a manifestation of the same Divine Creator. Meaning: Kabir explains that one who possesses patience lives with the dignity and contentment of an elephant, consuming its fill and remaining poised. However, once patience snaps, a person becomes like a stray dog, wandering from door to door in a desperate search for sustenance, losing their inner peace and self-respect.

Meaning: Kabir observes that water never remains on a height; it always flows downward to settle in the lowlands. Similarly, only those who abandon the pride of the ego and embrace true humility become vessels for divine grace and wisdom, while the arrogant remain spiritually thirsty.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि विनम्रता और लघुता (छोटा होने का भाव) सबसे श्रेष्ठ गुण है। जब व्यक्ति अपने अहंकार को त्यागकर स्वयं को छोटा समझता है, तो वह वास्तव में महान बन जाता है। जिस प्रकार द्वितीया की वह बारीक चंद्रमा की रेखा अत्यंत सूक्ष्म होती है, फिर भी संपूर्ण जगत उसके समक्ष नतमस्तक होता है और उसकी सुंदरता की सराहना करता है, उसी प्रकार विनम्र व्यक्ति सबका प्रिय और सम्मानित होता है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that humility—the quality of feeling oneself to be small—is the most virtuous trait of all. When a person sheds the burden of ego and embraces a sense of insignificance, they paradoxically achieve true greatness. Just as the sliver of the crescent moon on the second day of the lunar cycle is physically minute yet commands the reverence and admiration of the entire world, a humble soul attracts universal love and respect.

अर्थ: जो व्यक्ति आध्यात्मिक मार्ग पर चलते हुए गिर जाता है या गलती करता है, वह दोषी नहीं है क्योंकि उसने प्रयास किया। परंतु वह व्यक्ति जो डर या आलस्य के कारण प्रयास ही नहीं करता और स्थिर बैठा रहता है, वास्तविक दोष उसी का है क्योंकि उसने सत्य की खोज का साहस ही नहीं किया।

Meaning: One who falls while walking the spiritual path is not to be blamed, for they had the courage to strive. However, the one who remains stationary, paralyzed by fear or inertia, bears the true fault, as they have completely abandoned the quest for Truth.

अर्थ: यह शरीर लकड़ी के एक ढांचे के समान है और समय एक दीमक की तरह है जो इसे धीरे-धीरे निरंतर खा रहा है। इस शरीर का वास्तविक उपचार और नियंत्रण केवल ईश्वर के हाथ में है; कोई भी मनुष्य इस जीवन और मृत्यु के गहरे रहस्य को पूरी तरह नहीं समझ सकता।

Meaning: The physical body is like a wooden frame, and time is the termite that relentlessly consumes it bit by bit. The true physician of this body is the Divine; no mortal can fully grasp the hidden secret of existence and the inevitable transition of death.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि आनंद का सागर इतना गहरा और अनंत है कि कोई भी उसकी गहराई का अंत नहीं पा सकता। जिस प्रकार बिना धन के कोई राजा नहीं हो सकता और बिना सत्य-शब्द के कोई वास्तविक संत नहीं बन सकता, उसी प्रकार बिना आंतरिक ज्ञान के इस परम सुख को प्राप्त करना असंभव है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that the ocean of bliss is so profound and infinite that no one can find its bottom. Just as a king cannot exist without wealth and a true saint cannot exist without the divine Word (Shabd), one cannot attain the ultimate state of joy without the realization of the inner Truth.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि मैं उस दूध का आभारी हूँ जिससे शुद्ध घी निकलता है। उसी प्रकार, कबीर की साखियाँ उस सार तत्व या घी के समान हैं, जिनमें चारों वेदों का संपूर्ण आध्यात्मिक निचोड़ और जीवन का वास्तविक सत्य समाहित है।
