अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जो लोग केवल बाहरी दिखावे के लिए गुरु के प्रति प्रेम जताते हैं, वे वास्तव में गुरु के मार्ग से बहुत दूर हैं। उनका शरीर तो गुरु के पास हो सकता है, लेकिन उनका मन विचलित और संसार की मोह-माया में भटक रहा है। वे केवल सांसारिक लाभ और दिखावे के लिए आध्यात्मिक यात्रा का ढोंग कर रहे हैं।

Meaning: Kabir observes that those who claim to love the Guru but remain distant in spirit are merely performing a charade. While their physical bodies may be present in the presence of the teacher, their minds are fragmented and wandering in the illusions of the world, seeking worldly gains rather than spiritual liberation.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जो व्यक्ति अपने हृदय में ईश्वर के प्रति वास्तविक प्रेम और समर्पण नहीं रखता, वह केवल बाहरी दिखावे के लिए स्वयं को 'दास' या भक्त कहता है। जिस प्रकार बिना पानी पिए प्यास नहीं बुझ सकती, उसी प्रकार बिना आंतरिक अनुभव और वास्तविक भक्ति के आध्यात्मिक तृप्ति प्राप्त करना असंभव है।

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि वह कुल या वंश वास्तव में श्रेष्ठ है, जहाँ निस्वार्थ सेवा और समर्पण की भावना रखने वाले 'दास' (भक्त या विनम्र व्यक्ति) जन्म लेते हैं। जिस कुल में विनम्रता और सेवा भाव का अभाव होता है, वह कुल आक या पलास के वृक्ष के समान है, जो देखने में तो हो सकते हैं परंतु आध्यात्मिक रूप से निष्फल और निरर्थक होते हैं।

Meaning: Kabir observes that a seeker often feels a superficial excitement and outward enthusiasm for the Guru's devotion. However, this person fails to cleanse the inner workings of the mind and the ego. They desire the title and status of a 'disciple' or 'servant' without undergoing the rigorous internal purification required for true surrender.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि सच्ची भक्ति केवल उस व्यक्ति की संभव है जो निष्पक्ष है। वास्तविक ज्ञान केवल उसे प्राप्त होता है जो मोह से मुक्त है। मुक्ति का मार्ग द्वंद्वों (सुख-दुख, लाभ-हानि) से परे जाने में है, और जो लोभ से पूरी तरह मुक्त है, वही वास्तव में निर्वाण या परम शांति को प्राप्त करता है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that true devotion belongs to the impartial. Genuine knowledge is reserved for the one devoid of attachment. Liberation is attained by transcending dualities—such as pleasure and pain—and only those who have completely eradicated greed can achieve Nirvana, the ultimate state of spiritual liberation and peace.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि भादों के महीने की नदी की तरह, जब भावनाएं उफान पर होती हैं, तो भक्ति का प्रदर्शन करना आसान होता है। लेकिन वास्तविक और प्रशंसनीय भक्ति वह है जो जेठ की तपती गर्मी जैसी कठिन परिस्थितियों में भी स्थिर, शांत और अडिग रहे।

Meaning: Kabir explains that devotion fueled by emotional surges is like a river in the month of Bhadon (monsoon)—loud and overflowing, yet common. True, commendable devotion is that which remains steady, deep, and unwavering even during the scorching heat of Jeth (summer), symbolizing the most difficult trials of life.
