अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि दुनिया में कई लोग स्वयं को साधु या महान बताते हैं और अपनी-अपनी जगह पर वे सम्मानित हो सकते हैं। परंतु वास्तव में वही व्यक्ति श्रेष्ठ है जो शब्दों के गहरे अर्थ को समझने की क्षमता रखता है और सत्य एवं असत्य के बीच विवेकपूर्ण अंतर कर सके।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that while many claim the title of a saint or a seeker and may hold respect in their own circles, true greatness is reserved for the one who possesses the discernment to analyze the 'Shabd' (the Divine Word) and distinguish eternal truth from superficial rhetoric.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि वह समय व्यर्थ चला गया जो केवल सांसारिक और निरर्थक कार्यों में बीता, जिसमें संतों या सत्य के साधकों का साथ नहीं मिला। बिना ईश्वरीय प्रेम के मनुष्य का जीवन पशु के समान है, और बिना आध्यात्मिक भाव के वह केवल संसार में भटकता रहता है।

Meaning: Kabir laments the time wasted in futile, worldly pursuits where the company of the enlightened was absent. अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि एक सच्चा साधु उस पक्षी के समान है जो आकाश की अनंत ऊंचाइयों में स्वतंत्र विचरण करता है। वह सांसारिक बंधनों और संकीर्णताओं से ऊपर उठकर चलता है। वह जिस भी मार्ग या गली से गुजरता है, वहां अपनी आध्यात्मिक ऊर्जा और करुणा से सबको धन्य और आनंदित कर देता है।

Meaning: Kabir describes the true seeker as a celestial bird, gliding through the infinite expanse of consciousness. Such a soul moves with a divine grace, unbound by worldly attachments. Wherever this enlightened being treads, their mere presence radiates a transformative light that blesses and uplifts everyone they encounter.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि अब मेरा किसी सांसारिक व्यक्ति या वस्तु से कोई संबंध नहीं रहा, और न ही मैं किसी का हूँ। जिस प्रकार एक नाव यात्री को नदी के पार पहुँचाकर वापस लौट जाती है और यात्री अपने गंतव्य की ओर बढ़ जाता है, वैसे ही मैं इस संसार के मोह-माया से मुक्त होकर परमात्मा में विलीन हो गया हूँ।

Meaning: Kabir declares that he no longer possesses any worldly attachments, nor does he belong to anyone in the material realm. Just as a boat serves its purpose by carrying a passenger across a river and then departs, leaving the traveler to their destination, he has transcended all earthly bonds to merge with the Divine.

अर्थ: वह मनुष्य वास्तव में धर्म का पालन करने वाला है जो अपने पारिवारिक जीवन में रहते हुए भी सदाचार और पवित्र विचारों को बनाए रखता है। जो गुरु के ज्ञान को आत्मसात करता है, सत्संग करता है और मन एवं वाणी से निस्वार्थ सेवा को ही जीवन का सार मानता है, वही सच्चा साधक है।

Meaning: The person who truly adheres to righteousness is one who maintains moral conduct and pure thoughts while fulfilling their worldly and domestic duties. True spiritual essence is found in those who follow the Guru's wisdom, keep company with the virtuous, and embody selfless service in both thought and speech.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि कुछ लोग बाहरी रूप से तो शेर की तरह शक्तिशाली और प्रभावशाली दिखने का ढोंग करते हैं, लेकिन उनके कर्म और स्वभाव डरपोक भेड़ की तरह होते हैं। उनकी बातें चालाक सियार जैसी होती हैं, और अंततः उनका ऐसा पाखंड उन्हें विनाश की ओर ले जाता है, जहाँ समय या मृत्यु उन्हें वैसे ही निगल लेती है जैसे कोई कुत्ता किसी मृत वस्तु को खाता है।

Meaning: Kabir observes that some individuals adorn themselves in the attire of a lion to project power and authority, yet their actual conduct remains timid and cowardly like a sheep. Their speech is characterized by the cunning and opportunistic nature of a jackal. Ultimately, this spiritual and moral hypocrisy leads to their downfall, where time and death consume them utterly, mirroring a dog devouring carrion.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जब कोई व्यक्ति अपनी सांसारिक आसक्तियों और मानसिक गांठों (गिरही) को त्याग कर एक सच्चे साधु की सेवा करता है, तो उसे भाव, भक्ति और परमानंद की प्राप्ति होती है। एक सच्चा वैरागी वही है जो निरबानी (निर्मल अवस्था) में स्थित है और सांसारिक दुखों से पूरी तरह मुक्त हो चुका है।

Meaning: Kabir explains that when an individual transcends their mental knots and worldly attachments to serve a true realized soul, they attain a state of deep emotion, devotion, and bliss. A true ascetic is one who dwells in the state of 'Nirbani'—the formless purity—and remains untouched by the sorrows and fluctuations of the material world.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि केवल माला जपने या माथे पर तिलक लगाने जैसे बाहरी आडंबरों से सच्ची भक्ति प्राप्त नहीं होती। व्यक्ति बाहरी रूप को धार्मिक बना लेता है, लेकिन उसका मन और आचरण अभी भी सांसारिक मोह-माया और दुनियादारी के पीछे भाग रहा है, जिससे वास्तविक आध्यात्मिक उन्नति संभव नहीं है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that true devotion cannot be attained simply through external rituals like wearing prayer beads or applying a sectarian mark on the forehead. While one may adopt the outward appearance of a devotee, if the inner consciousness remains enslaved to worldly desires and social conformity, the essence of spirituality remains elusive.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि दुनिया में करोड़ों कवि और विद्वान हैं जिन्होंने बाहरी दिखावे के लिए अपने सिर मुंडवा लिए हैं या धार्मिक वेश धारण किया है। परंतु, वास्तविक ज्ञान वह है जो मन के अहंकार और विकारों को मुंडवा दे। सच्चा आश्रय उसी व्यक्ति के पास लेना चाहिए जिसने अपने आंतरिक अहंकार का त्याग कर दिया हो।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that there are millions of poets and scholars who have shaved their heads or adopted outward religious appearances to signal holiness. However, true wisdom lies in 'shaving' the ego and desires of the mind. One should seek refuge and guidance only from those who have conquered their internal pride and mental clutter.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि बाहरी शरीर को साधु बनाना या वैराग्य धारण करना बहुत आसान है और बहुत से लोग ऐसा करते हैं, लेकिन वास्तव में अपने मन को वश में करना और उसे आध्यात्मिक बनाना अत्यंत कठिन है। जो व्यक्ति अपने मन को जीत लेता है और आंतरिक वैराग्य प्राप्त करता है, उसे बिना किसी कठिन प्रयास के सहजता से ही समस्त आध्यात्मिक सिद्धियाँ और ईश्वर की प्राप्ति हो जाती है।

Meaning: Kabir observes that many people adopt the outward appearance of a renunciant—wearing saffron robes or abandoning worldly possessions—but very few actually discipline the mind. True liberation is not found in the external performance of asceticism, but in the internal mastery of the mind. He asserts that when the mind itself becomes a 'yogi' (disciplined and detached), all spiritual accomplishments and ultimate truth are attained effortlessly and naturally.
