अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि हर व्यक्ति दया और करुणा की बातें तो करता है, लेकिन वास्तव में दया का गहरा रहस्य बहुत कम लोग जानते हैं। जब तक मनुष्य स्वयं के वास्तविक स्वरूप और अन्य जीवों की अंतरात्मा की एकता को नहीं पहचानता, तब तक सच्ची दया का जन्म होना असंभव है।

Meaning: Kabir observes that while everyone speaks of mercy and compassion, very few understand its true essence. He asserts that genuine compassion cannot exist as long as one remains ignorant of the true nature of the soul and the fundamental unity shared by all living beings.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि जहाँ करुणा और दया का वास होता है, वहीं वास्तविक धर्म निवास करता है। इसके विपरीत, जहाँ लालच और लोभ होता है, वहाँ केवल पाप का जन्म होता है। क्रोध मनुष्य के लिए मृत्यु (काल) के समान विनाशकारी है, जबकि क्षमा और सहनशीलता में ही परमात्मा का साक्षात स्वरूप निहित है।

अर्थ: संसार में ऐसे लोगों की भरमार है जो केवल बाहरी आचरण, रीति-रिवाजों और दिखावे के नियमों का पालन करते हैं, परंतु वास्तव में आत्म-चिंतन करने वाला कोई नहीं है। जिस व्यक्ति के हृदय में गुरु का वास नहीं है—अर्थात जिसने आंतरिक ज्ञान और मार्गदर्शन को नहीं अपनाया—उसका जीवन व्यर्थ और अर्थहीन है।

Meaning: The world is filled with people who adhere to outward conduct, social etiquettes, and ritualistic behaviors, yet there is a profound absence of those who engage in deep internal contemplation. He who does not harbor the Guru within his heart—meaning the living presence of spiritual wisdom—leads a life that is essentially void and meaningless.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि एक विशाल हाथी के मुख से भोजन का एक टुकड़ा गिर जाता है, जिससे उसे कोई विशेष हानि नहीं होती और उसका आहार कम नहीं होता। वहीं दूसरी ओर, एक छोटी सी चींटी उसी एक दाने को उठाकर ले जाती है और उससे अपने पूरे परिवार का पोषण करती है। यह दोहा हमें सिखाता है कि जिसे हम तुच्छ समझते हैं, वह किसी और के लिए जीवनदायी हो सकता है।

Meaning: Kabir observes that when a morsel of food falls from the mouth of a mighty elephant, it is a negligible loss that does not diminish the elephant's sustenance. However, a tiny ant finds that same grain and carries it back to nourish her entire colony. This verse teaches that what seems insignificant to the powerful can be a lifeline for the humble, emphasizing the relativity of value and the virtue of compassion.
