अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि मैं इस अहंकारपूर्ण शरीर को जलाकर राख कर देना चाहता हूँ, ताकि उसकी राख और धुआँ आकाश की ऊँचाइयों तक पहुँच जाए। वे प्रार्थना करते हैं कि परमात्मा की दया बरसें और इस आंतरिक अहंकार की अग्नि को शांत कर दे, जिससे केवल शुद्ध आत्मा शेष रहे।

Meaning: Kabir expresses a profound desire to incinerate the ego-driven physical identity, reducing it to ashes so that the remnants may ascend toward the divine. He pleads for the grace of the Formless Lord to descend as a cooling rain, extinguishing the scorching fire of worldly attachment and pride.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि मैं अपने इस भौतिक शरीर को जलाकर उसकी स्याही बना लूँ और अपनी हड्डियों की कलम से ईश्वर (राम) का नाम लिखूँ। यह इस बात का प्रतीक है कि जब तक संपूर्ण अहंकार और शारीरिक आसक्ति पूरी तरह नष्ट नहीं हो जाती, तब तक परमात्मा का वास्तविक साक्षात्कार संभव नहीं है।

Meaning: Kabir declares his intent to burn his physical body to create ink and use his own bones as a pen to write the name of the Divine (Ram). अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि मैं इस भौतिक शरीर को एक दीपक बना लूँ और अपनी आत्मा को उसकी बाती बना दूँ। मैं अपने रक्त और जीवन-शक्ति को ईंधन के रूप में जलाकर उस परम तेज को प्राप्त करना चाहता हूँ, ताकि अंततः मैं अपने प्रिय परमात्मा के दर्शन कर सकूँ।

Meaning: Kabir expresses a profound longing to transform his physical body into a lamp and his soul into the wick. He desires to fuel this lamp with the essence of his own life-blood and vitality, burning away all impurities to attain a divine radiance that finally allows him to behold the face of his Beloved, the Eternal Truth.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि परमात्मा से विरह की अग्नि में उनका शरीर और मन पूरी तरह जल चुके हैं। जिस प्रकार एक मृत व्यक्ति को अब किसी शारीरिक पीड़ा का अनुभव नहीं होता, उसी प्रकार जब अहंकार पूरी तरह जलकर नष्ट हो जाता है, तभी इस आध्यात्मिक विरह की वास्तविक तीव्रता और उसकी मुक्तिदायी शक्ति को समझा जा सकता है।

Meaning: Kabir proclaims that his body and mind have been incinerated by the fire of separation from the Divine. He suggests that just as a corpse no longer feels physical pain, only one whose ego has been completely annihilated can truly comprehend the intensity and the liberating nature of this spiritual longing.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि मनुष्य बाहरी उपहारों और भेंटों से अपनी गोद भर लेता है और मन में धैर्य रखने का ढोंग करता है। परंतु वे प्रश्न करते हैं कि परमात्मा या सत्य से मिलन कैसे संभव है, जब तक कि व्यक्ति के भीतर 'दो शरीर' यानी द्वैत का भाव मौजूद है।

Meaning: Kabir observes that humans fill their arms with material offerings and pretend to possess patience in their hearts. However, he poses a profound question: how can one truly unite with the Divine or the Ultimate Truth as long as the perception of 'two bodies'—the duality between the self and the other—persists?

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जिस प्रकार बिना नींव के कोई भवन या महल खड़ा नहीं रह सकता, उसी प्रकार बिना शरीर के (या शारीरिक चेतना के विसर्जन के बिना) परमात्मा का साक्षात्कार संभव नहीं है। जो व्यक्ति इस सत्य को समझने में देरी करता है, वह वास्तव में केवल आलस्य और मोह की सेवा कर रहा है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that just as a grand edifice cannot stand without a solid foundation, the realization of the Divine is impossible without the transcendence of the physical body and its attachments. He warns that those who procrastinate in this spiritual pursuit are merely serving their own inertia and the illusions of the material world.

अर्थ: यह मानव शरीर जल का एक पुतला मात्र है, जिसे प्राणवायु (पवन) ने संभाल कर रखा है। इस शरीर के माध्यम से अनेक प्रकार की भाषाएँ और वाणी व्यक्त होती हैं, परंतु वास्तव में इसके भीतर उस परमात्मा की दिव्य ज्योति ही विद्यमान है जो सबको संचालित करती है।

Meaning: The human body is but a puppet or a vessel made of water, sustained and balanced by the vital breath of life. Though this physical form speaks in a multitude of languages and voices, the true essence residing within is the divine light of the Creator, the singular spark that animates all existence.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जब मनुष्य प्रेम रस की महिमा को मानता है और गुणों तथा स्नेह के अहंकार में डूब जाता है, तब वह वास्तव में भ्रमित होता है। यह सारा मोह और लगाव तब तक बना रहता है जब तक मनुष्य स्वयं को इस भौतिक शरीर (देह) के साथ जोड़कर देखता है और शरीर को ही अपनी वास्तविक पहचान मानता है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that when a person prides themselves on the greatness of divine love or boasts of their virtues and affections, they are merely clinging to a facade. All these attachments and delusions persist as long as the individual identifies themselves with the physical body, mistakenly believing that the flesh and bone constitute their true essence.

अर्थ: यह दोहा उस आध्यात्मिक अवस्था का वर्णन करता है जहाँ जीव माया और अज्ञान के कारण गहरे जख्मों से ग्रस्त है। वह दुनिया में भटक रहा है, लेकिन उसके भीतर का दर्द इतना गहरा है कि कोई भी बाहरी सहारा या दिखावा उसे छिपा नहीं सकता। जब चोट आत्मा के केंद्र (मरम) पर लगती है, तो सांसारिक उपचार और प्रयास उसे ठीक करने में असमर्थ रहते हैं।

Meaning: This couplet describes a spiritual state where the soul is profoundly wounded by illusion (Maya) and ignorance. The seeker wanders through existence, but the internal agony is so pervasive that no external shield or pretense can conceal it. When the wound strikes the very core of being (the 'maram'), worldly remedies and superficial efforts fail to provide healing or survival.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि मनुष्य ने अनमोल आध्यात्मिक रत्न (ईश्वर या आत्म-ज्ञान) को पैरों तले रौंद दिया और उसके बदले में तुच्छ कंकड़ (सांसारिक मोह-माया) को हाथ में उठा लिया। इस अज्ञानता के कारण, वह अपनी मूल आध्यात्मिक जोड़ी, उस दिव्य हंस (परमात्मा) से बिछड़ गया और अब वह बगुले जैसे सांसारिक और चालाक लोगों के साथ भटक रहा है।

Meaning: Kabir laments that humanity has trampled upon the priceless spiritual gem (Divine Knowledge or the Soul) and instead grasped a worthless pebble (worldly attachments). In this profound ignorance, the soul, symbolized as a celestial swan, has been severed from its divine union and is now relegated to the company of cranes—those preoccupied with superficiality and worldly cunning.
