अर्थ: मानव शरीर धारण करने का एकमात्र वास्तविक लाभ यह है कि इस भौतिक शरीर के माध्यम से हम आत्म-साक्षात्कार करें। यदि इस जीवन में हमने अपनी चेतना को जागृत नहीं किया, तो यह दुर्लभ अवसर हाथ से निकल जाएगा, क्योंकि यह शरीर ही वह एकमात्र साधन है जिससे मोक्ष या परम सत्य की प्राप्ति संभव है।

Meaning: The sole virtue of possessing a human body is to utilize this physical existence to realize the Divine. If one fails to awaken their consciousness during this tenure, the opportunity is lost, for the human form is the only vehicle capable of achieving liberation and understanding the ultimate truth.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि यदि एक जहरीला सांप चंदन के पेड़ पर निवास करता है, तो वह अपनी प्रकृति के कारण चंदन की सुगंध या उसकी शीतलता को नष्ट नहीं कर सकता। चंदन अपनी पवित्रता बनाए रखता है। लेकिन यदि मनुष्य का अपना पूरा अस्तित्व अहंकार, क्रोध और ईर्ष्या जैसे विषों से भरा हुआ है, तो उसमें ईश्वरीय अमृत या आध्यात्मिक ज्ञान का वास कैसे संभव है?

Meaning: Kabir explains that even if a venomous serpent dwells within a sandalwood tree, the snake's poison cannot taint the inherent fragrance or purity of the wood. However, he warns that if a human being's entire existence is saturated with the poisons of ego, anger, and greed, there is no space left for the divine nectar of spiritual realization to reside.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि एक सच्चा गुरु बिना किसी भेदभाव के सभी शिष्यों से प्रेम करता है और उनका कल्याण चाहता है, परंतु शिष्य अक्सर गुरु के प्रति उस निस्वार्थ प्रेम को नहीं लौटा पाते। जब तक मनुष्य के भीतर शारीरिक सुखों, सांसारिक मोह और अहंकार की इच्छा बनी रहती है, तब तक वह वास्तव में गुरु का शिष्य या समर्पित सेवक नहीं बन सकता।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that a true spiritual master loves all unconditionally and desires the liberation of every soul, yet few truly love the Guru in return. As long as a seeker remains tethered to bodily desires, physical attachments, and the ego's craving for worldly security, they cannot achieve the state of true surrender or become a genuine disciple.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जो साधक बाहरी मोतियों की माला के बजाय अपनी आती-जाती सांसों की माला जपता है, वह वास्तव में ईश्वर का सच्चा सेवक है। ऐसा व्यक्ति जन्म और मृत्यु के चौरासी चक्र से मुक्त हो जाता है और उसके कर्मों का बंधन पूरी तरह कट जाता है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that the true servant of the Divine is one who replaces the external rosary of beads with the rhythmic awareness of their own breath. By anchoring consciousness in the breath, the seeker transcends the cycle of eighty-four thousand births and deaths, severing the shackles of karmic bondage.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जिसने ईश्वर के वास्तविक स्वरूप और नाम को नहीं पहचाना, उसके जीवन में अज्ञानता की एक मोटी परत जम गई है। यह शरीर अब लकड़ी के बर्तन के समान हो गया है, जिसे अग्नि पर चढ़ाने पर भी वह पक नहीं सकता, अर्थात आध्यात्मिक जागृति अब असंभव सी प्रतीत होती है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that one who fails to recognize the true essence of the Divine Name accumulates a thick crust of ignorance. The physical body becomes like a pot made of wood; though placed upon the fire of life, it cannot be cooked or transformed, symbolizing a soul stunted by spiritual blindness.

अर्थ: जिस हृदय या शरीर में प्रेम का संचार नहीं होता, वह शरीर एक श्मशान के समान मृत है। जिस प्रकार लुहार की दुकान पर टंगी चमड़े की खाल बाहरी रूप से तो शरीर जैसी दिखती है, परंतु उसमें प्राणों का अभाव होता है, वैसे ही प्रेमविहीन मनुष्य केवल एक जीवित लाश है।

Meaning: The heart or body that does not experience the flow of divine love is essentially a cremation ground. Just as a piece of hide in a blacksmith's shop may mimic the form of a living being but lacks a soul, a person devoid of love is merely a breathing corpse, existing without true spiritual vitality.

अर्थ: यह शरीर एक अस्थायी सराय की तरह है और मन इसका पहरेदार है। जब मनुष्य की इच्छाएं और अहंकार समाप्त हो जाते हैं, तब यह सत्य प्रकट होता है कि इस संसार में कोई किसी का नहीं है। यह एक अटल सत्य है जिसे गहराई से अनुभव करने पर ही समझा जा सकता है।

Meaning: The physical body is merely a temporary inn, and the mind acts as its vigilant guard. Once the delusions of desire and the ego are dismantled, the stark reality emerges: no one truly belongs to anyone else. This is an absolute truth, realized only through profound spiritual awakening and direct experience.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि अपने सुंदर शरीर और बाहरी रूप पर कभी अहंकार न करें। जिस प्रकार एक सांप अपनी पुरानी केंचुली को त्याग देता है और फिर वह शरीर उसके किसी काम का नहीं रहता, वैसे ही यह भौतिक शरीर भी नश्वर है और अंततः आत्मा से अलग हो जाएगा।

Meaning: Kabir warns against harboring pride based on physical beauty or a youthful body. He illustrates that just as a snake sheds its skin, which then becomes useless and separated from the creature, the human body is a temporary shell that will eventually be discarded by the soul.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि प्रत्येक मनुष्य वास्तव में भगवान नारायण का ही रूप है; तुम स्वयं को केवल हाड़-मांस का शरीर मत समझो। यदि तुम इस सत्य को गहराई से समझ लो, तो जान जाओ कि यह संपूर्ण भौतिक संसार और तुम्हारा अहंकार एक पल में राख की तरह नष्ट हो जाएगा।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that every human being is essentially a manifestation of the Divine Narayan; do not mistake your identity for merely the physical body. If one truly realizes this truth, they will understand that the entire perceived material world and the ego vanish like ash in an instant.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि मनुष्य ने अपने पैरों में मोह-माया की रस्सी बाँध रखी है और फिर भी वह सुख और चैन की नींद सोने की इच्छा करता है। जबकि उसके शरीर के भीतर वासनाओं और सांसारिक इच्छाओं का नगाड़ा दिन-रात बज रहा है, जो उसे कभी शांति से सोने नहीं देता।

Meaning: Kabir observes that humans have tied the ropes of worldly attachment to their own feet, yet they wonder why they cannot find peaceful sleep. Inside them, the drum of flesh and desire beats incessantly day and night, creating a turmoil that prevents true spiritual tranquility.
