अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि सच्ची भक्ति और ईश्वर की सेवा दीनता, विनम्रता और निस्वार्थ भाव में निहित है। वास्तविक महानता बाहरी धन, पद या सामाजिक प्रतिष्ठा में नहीं, बल्कि व्यक्ति के आंतरिक स्वभाव की उदारता, दया और विनम्रता में बसी होती है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that true devotion and spiritual service reside in humility, simplicity, and a spirit of selfless surrender. Real greatness is not found in external wealth, social status, or titles, but is instead rooted in the nobility of one's inner nature, characterized by compassion and kindness.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि मनुष्य को केवल एक ही सत्य, एक ही मार्ग और एक ही परमात्मा पर अडिग रहना चाहिए। जो व्यक्ति अपनी बात में दोहरापन रखता है या दो अलग-अलग पक्षों को अलग-अलग बातें बोलकर छल करता है, उसे अंततः अपमान और भारी कष्ट का सामना करना पड़ता है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that a person must remain steadfast in one truth, one path, and one singular Divine reality. Those who speak with a double tongue—practicing hypocrisy or playing two sides—will eventually encounter severe consequences, social disgrace, and spiritual failure.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि यदि मैं ईश्वर को 'एक' कहूँ तो लोग उसे पूरी तरह समझ नहीं पाते, और यदि 'दो' कहूँ तो यह द्वैतवाद का पाप या गाली के समान है। इसलिए, सत्य को शब्दों के जाल में बाँधने के बजाय उसे उसके वास्तविक, अनिर्वचनीय स्वरूप में अनुभव करना चाहिए।

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि जो व्यक्ति मुख से तो बहुत मीठी और मधुर बातें करता है, परंतु उसके हृदय के भीतर कुछ और ही विचार या कपट छिपा होता है, वह वास्तव में धोखेबाज है। ऐसे पाखंडी लोगों से सावधान रहना चाहिए क्योंकि वे ऊपर से राम का नाम लेते हैं पर भीतर से विरक्त और कुटिल होते हैं।

Meaning: Kabir warns against those who speak sweet words while harboring contradictory or malicious intentions in their hearts. He suggests that such hypocrisy is a dangerous facade; those who project a pious or kind image while remaining internally deceitful are not truly aligned with the Divine, and one must remain vigilant around such individuals.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि एक सज्जन व्यक्ति केवल दूसरों की बातों में आकर दुर्जन बन गया। यह वैसा ही है जैसे कोई यह मान ले कि कांसा तांबा बन गया है, जबकि वास्तव में उसकी मूल कीमत और गुण नहीं बदले, केवल भ्रम पैदा हुआ है।

Meaning: Kabir observes that a virtuous person becomes wicked simply by listening to the words of others. He compares this to the illusion that bell-metal has turned into copper; while the appearance or perception might change, the intrinsic value and nature remain unaltered, yet the person loses their way.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि असली हीरे की पहचान वही है जो कठोर प्रहार और घिसाई को सहन कर सके। उसी प्रकार, मनुष्य के भीतर का अहंकार और कपट जब परीक्षण की अग्नि में तपता है, तब पता चलता है कि वह वास्तव में शुद्ध है या उसके चरित्र में कोई खोट है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that a true diamond is recognized only by its ability to withstand the heaviest blows and the harshest grinding. Similarly, the true quality of a human being is revealed through adversity; while the deceitful heart masks itself, the trial of life exposes the inherent flaws or the genuine purity of the soul.

अर्थ: संसार में ऐसे बहुत से लोग हैं जो स्वयं को महान और शक्तिशाली दिखाते हैं, लेकिन वास्तव में वे कायर हैं। इसके विपरीत, जो वास्तव में वीर और ज्ञानी होते हैं, वे व्यर्थ का दिखावा या अहंकारपूर्ण बातें नहीं करते। जब वास्तविक संकट या कठिन समय आता है, तभी यह स्पष्ट होता है कि वास्तव में किसके चेहरे पर सत्य का तेज है और कौन केवल शब्दों का मायाजाल बुन रहा था।

Meaning: The world is filled with many who project an image of strength and superiority, yet they are cowards at heart. In contrast, the truly brave and enlightened do not engage in boastful chatter or arrogant displays. It is only when a genuine crisis or a moment of critical need arises that the true radiance of truth and courage is revealed on a person's face, distinguishing the authentic from the pretender.

अर्थ: एक सच्चा संत अपनी सज्जनता और पवित्रता का त्याग कभी नहीं करता, चाहे उसके चारों ओर लाखों दुष्ट या नकारात्मक लोग ही क्यों न हों। जिस प्रकार चंदन के पेड़ पर जहरीले सांप लिपटे रहते हैं, फिर भी चंदन अपनी शीतलता और सुगंध नहीं छोड़ता, उसी तरह एक आत्मज्ञानी व्यक्ति अपनी आंतरिक शांति और करुणा को बाहरी परिस्थितियों से प्रभावित नहीं होने देता।

Meaning: A true saint never abandons their innate goodness and spiritual integrity, even if surrounded by millions of the wicked or ignorant. Just as the sandalwood tree retains its cooling essence and fragrance even when venomous serpents coil around it, a realized soul remains anchored in peace and compassion, regardless of the toxicity of their external environment.

अर्थ: जो व्यक्ति सत्य को जानकर भी उसे त्याग देता है और झूठ से प्रेम करता है, उसकी संगति से बचना चाहिए। कबीर कहते हैं कि ऐसे व्यक्ति का साथ स्वप्न में भी नहीं लेना चाहिए, क्योंकि सत्य का मार्ग केवल सत्यनिष्ठा से ही संभव है।

Meaning: One who consciously rejects the truth after realizing it and instead develops an affection for falsehood is a dangerous companion. Kabir warns that such a person should be avoided entirely, even in one's dreams, as spiritual progress is impossible in the company of deceit.
