अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जब एक कायर व्यक्ति अनजाने में या विवशतावश वीरों के युद्धक्षेत्र में प्रवेश कर जाता है, तो वह अत्यंत दुखी होता है। वह न तो वहां से भाग सकता है और न ही युद्ध लड़ने का साहस जुटा पाता है; वह केवल अपने भीतर गहरे पश्चाताप और भय में जलता रहता है।

Meaning: Kabir describes the plight of a coward who finds himself trapped in the battlefield of warriors. Unable to flee the scene and lacking the courage to fight, he remains paralyzed, consumed by internal regret and silent agony, realizing too late the magnitude of the conflict he has entered.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि सच्चा योद्धा वह है जो कामंद (भिक्षा पात्र) धारण कर सांसारिक मोह का त्याग कर दे और अपने अहंकार रूपी शेर को उतार फेंके। जब व्यक्ति अपनी वासनाओं और 'मैं' की भावना को मार देता है, तब वह वास्तव में जीवित होता है; जो दूसरों को मारने या जीतने की कोशिश करता है, वह वास्तव में आध्यात्मिक मृत्यु की ओर बढ़ रहा है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that the true warrior is not one who conquers others, but one who adopts the bowl of a mendicant, renouncing worldly attachments and casting off the predatory ego. He suggests that the one who 'dies' to their own ego is the only one who truly awakens, while those who seek to destroy or dominate others are merely accelerating their own spiritual demise.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि जब तक व्यक्ति के शरीर पर सिर सलामत है, तब तक वह वीरता का दावा कर सकता है। लेकिन यदि सिर कट जाने के बाद भी कोई लड़ने की कोशिश करे, तो वह वीरता नहीं बल्कि मूर्खता और व्यर्थ का अहंकार है। यह दोहा वास्तविक साहस और निरर्थक जिद के बीच के अंतर को स्पष्ट करता है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that as long as a man's head remains upon his shoulders, he may be called a warrior. However, if one attempts to fight after the head has been severed, such an act is not bravery but sheer folly. The verse distinguishes between genuine courage and the delusional persistence of a dead ego.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जिस प्रकार एक सच्चा योद्धा शत्रु की सेना को ध्यान से देखता है और फिर सटीक प्रहार करता है, जिससे पूरी सेना पीछे हट जाती है, उसी प्रकार साधक को अपने अहंकार और विकारों पर सटीक प्रहार करना चाहिए ताकि मन का भ्रम पूरी तरह समाप्त हो जाए।

Meaning: Kabir suggests that just as a true warrior observes the enemy army with precision and delivers a single, decisive blow that forces the entire opposing force to retreat, a spiritual seeker must strike a precise blow against their own ego and delusions to dissolve the illusions of the mind completely.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि आध्यात्मिक मार्ग पर केवल दो ही स्थितियाँ हैं: या तो स्वयं के अहंकार का विसर्जन (मरना) या फिर अज्ञानता और माया के बंधनों का विनाश (मारना)। यही वह कठिन सिद्धि है जहाँ साधक को अपनी पुरानी पहचान को मिटाना पड़ता है। जो लोग केवल बाहरी दिखावे या किताबी ज्ञान के सहारे चलते हैं, वे अंततः असफल और कायर सिद्ध होते हैं।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that on the spiritual path, there are only two definitive states: either the voluntary dissolution of the ego (dying to the self) or the active destruction of ignorance and worldly attachments (killing the illusion). This is the paradoxical achievement of liberation. Those who rely solely on theoretical knowledge or the safety of ritualistic shields are cowards who will never attain the ultimate truth.

अर्थ: यह दोहा आत्मा और परमात्मा के मिलन के उस चरम क्षण का वर्णन करता है जहाँ संसार का सारा द्वंद्व समाप्त हो जाता है। जब साधक को अपने वास्तविक प्रिय (ईश्वर) के दर्शन होते हैं, तो अहंकार का युद्ध समाप्त हो जाता है और भ्रम की सारी परतें छिन्न-भिन्न हो जाती हैं।

Meaning: This couplet describes the ultimate moment of union between the soul and the Divine, where all worldly conflicts cease. When the seeker finally encounters their true Beloved (God), the war of the ego ends, and all layers of illusion are completely shattered.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि केवल मांस खाने या मदिरा पीने से कोई व्यक्ति नीच या अछूत नहीं हो जाता, और न ही केवल ऊँचे कुल में जन्म लेने से कोई महान बनता है। वास्तव में, वह व्यक्ति श्रेष्ठ है जो दूसरों के मन से अज्ञान और कुरीतियों को मिटाकर उन्हें सही मार्ग दिखाता है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that consuming meat or alcohol does not inherently render a person low or impure, nor does birth into a high lineage grant true nobility. The truly exalted individual is one who possesses the wisdom and compassion to eradicate the delusions and misguided beliefs of others, guiding them toward spiritual truth.
