अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि सोने (धन) का मोह त्यागना सरल है और कामुक वासनाओं या सांसारिक प्रेम के मोह को छोड़ना भी संभव है, परंतु किसी की निंदा करने की आदत को त्यागना सबसे कठिन कार्य है क्योंकि यह अहंकार की गहरी जड़ों से जुड़ा होता है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that renouncing the lure of gold (wealth) is relatively easy, and overcoming the attachments of sensual desire or worldly love is also achievable. However, abandoning the habit of criticizing and slandering others is the most difficult task, as it is deeply rooted in the ego.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि दुनिया में पाप करने वाले तो हज़ारों मिल जाते हैं, लेकिन एक सच्चा निंदक (आलोचक) मिलना दुर्लभ है। हालांकि, जो व्यक्ति दूसरों की बुराई और निंदा में लगा रहता है, उसके सिर पर लाखों पापों का बोझ होता है क्योंकि वह मानसिक रूप से दूसरों को नष्ट करने का प्रयास करता है।

Meaning: Kabir observes that while sinners are found by the thousands, a true critic or slanderer is a rare find. However, he warns that the one who habitually engages in the defamation of others carries the burden of a million sins upon their head, as the act of slandering is a profound spiritual transgression.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि निंदक या आलोचना करने वाला व्यक्ति उस व्यक्ति की तरह है जिसकी नाक नहीं है, फिर भी वह अपनी श्रेष्ठता का भ्रम पाले रहता है। इसके विपरीत, जो वास्तव में साधु, गुरु के भक्त और आत्मज्ञानी होते हैं, उनमें अहंकार या दूसरों की निंदा करने की प्रवृत्ति बिल्कुल नहीं होती, क्योंकि वे आंतरिक शांति में स्थित होते हैं।

Meaning: Kabir suggests that a critic or slanderer is like a person without a nose, yet they imagine themselves to be complete or superior. अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि इस संसार में केवल शब्दों का आडंबर या बड़ी-बड़ी बातें करना व्यर्थ और खोखला है। वास्तविक मूल्य केवल कर्मों का होता है। जिस प्रकार केवल भोजन की चर्चा करने से भूख नहीं मिटती, उसी प्रकार केवल आध्यात्मिक बातें करने से मोक्ष नहीं मिलता; केवल सत्कर्म ही जीवन की वास्तविक बाधाओं को पार करा सकते हैं।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that in this world, mere words and grand proclamations are hollow and devoid of substance. The true essence of a human being lies in their actions. Just as discussing the quality of food cannot satisfy a starving stomach, talking about spirituality without practicing it cannot lead to liberation; only righteous action allows one to cross the ocean of existence.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि मनुष्य की बातें अब कच्ची और खोखली हो गई हैं, जबकि उनके वास्तविक कर्मों में कोई सार या सच्चाई नहीं बची है। बोलने वाले और सुनने वाले दोनों ही सत्य से अनभिज्ञ होकर आध्यात्मिक मृत्यु को प्राप्त हो चुके हैं, और इस प्रकार दुनिया में अज्ञानता और मूर्खता का विस्तार अनंत हो गया है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that human speech has become superficial and hollow, while their actual deeds lack any essence or truth. Both the speaker and the listener have succumbed to a spiritual death by remaining ignorant of the True Self, leading to an infinite proliferation of foolishness and intellectual vanity in the world.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि मनुष्य को केवल बातों और शब्दों के आडंबर को त्याग कर अपने कर्मों और वास्तविक क्रियाओं पर ध्यान केंद्रित करना चाहिए। जिस प्रकार केवल पानी के बारे में बात करने से प्यास नहीं बुझती, बल्कि वास्तव में जल पीने से ही तृप्ति मिलती है, उसी प्रकार केवल आध्यात्मिक चर्चाओं से मोक्ष नहीं मिलता, बल्कि आचरण में बदलाव और सत्य के अभ्यास से ही आत्म-साक्षात्कार संभव है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that mere verbal proclamations of truth are futile if they are not anchored in action. Just as a fortress made of unstable mud or weak materials collapses at the first sign of a storm, a spiritual identity built solely on words, without the foundation of lived practice, crumbles instantly when tested by reality or divine truth.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जो व्यक्ति अपनी वाणी से तो धर्म और नैतिकता की बड़ी-बड़ी बातें करता है, परंतु उसके कर्म और आचरण उन शब्दों के विपरीत होते हैं, वह वास्तव में मनुष्य कहलाने के योग्य नहीं है। ऐसा पाखंडी व्यक्ति कुत्ते जैसी निम्न चेतना वाला होता है और अंततः उसे यमलोक के कष्ट भोगने पड़ते हैं।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that a person who speaks of righteousness and virtue but whose actions are contradictory to their words is not truly human. Such a hypocrite possesses the consciousness of a dog—driven by instinct and lack of integrity—and is ultimately bound for the sufferings of the underworld (Jampur).

Meaning: Kabir asserts that a person who lacks compassion and mercy in their heart, yet claims to possess boundless knowledge, is spiritually bankrupt. Mere recitation of scriptures or listening to holy words does not lead to liberation; if the heart is devoid of love and empathy, such intellectual knowledge is useless and leads the soul toward spiritual degradation and suffering.
