Meaning: Kabir describes a state of intense spiritual longing where the devotion to the Divine becomes an unbreakable bond. He uses the metaphor of the Chakor bird, which is so obsessed with the moon that it mistakes burning embers for the moon's coolness, consuming them and burning its own beak and tongue. Similarly, a true seeker finds a strange sweetness in the fires of longing and sacrifice, unable to detach from the pursuit of Truth.
