कबीर के दोहे (Kabir's Couplets)

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जो जीव सद्गुरु की शरण में नहीं आता, वह जन्म-मरण के अंतहीन चक्र में फँसा रहता है और बार-बार सांसारिक संघर्षों और दुखों का सामना करता है। बिना आध्यात्मिक मार्गदर्शन के, आत्मा अपनी वास्तविक पहचान खो देती है और अंततः काल (समय और मृत्यु) के अधीन हो जाती है, जो तीनों लोकों पर शासन करता है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that those who do not seek the refuge of a True Guru remain trapped in the endless cycle of birth and death, repeatedly facing worldly struggles and suffering. Without spiritual guidance, the soul loses its divine essence and eventually falls prey to Kaal (Time/Death), the sovereign ruler of the three realms of existence.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि इस संसार में सद्गुरु के समान कोई सच्चा संबंधी नहीं है, और एक सच्चे साधु के समान कोई बड़ा दानदाता नहीं है। ईश्वर (हरि) से बढ़कर कोई हितैषी नहीं है, और ईश्वर के भक्तों (हरिजनों) के समान कोई श्रेष्ठ कुल या जाति नहीं है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that in this transient world, there is no kinsman as true as the Satguru, nor a benefactor as selfless as a realized saint. There is no well-wisher more profound than the Divine (Hari), and no lineage or caste more noble than that of the devotees of the Divine.

अर्थ: इस संसार में सद्गुरु के समान कोई दूसरा सहारा या मार्गदर्शक नहीं है। चाहे हम सातों द्वीपों, नौ खंडों, तीनों लोकों या इक्कीस ब्रह्मांडों की खोज कर लें, हमें वह ज्ञान और शांति नहीं मिलेगी जो एक सच्चे गुरु के सानिध्य में प्राप्त होती है।

Meaning: There is no refuge or guide equal to the True Guru. Even if one searches through the seven islands, the nine divisions of earth, the three realms of existence, or the twenty-one universes, the ultimate truth and liberation cannot be found outside the grace of a realized master.

अर्थ: सच्चा आध्यात्मिक गुरु एक वास्तविक योद्धा है जो शिष्य के अहंकार को सिर से पैर तक पूरी तरह नष्ट कर देता है। यह प्रहार शारीरिक नहीं होता, इसलिए बाहर कोई घाव नहीं दिखता, लेकिन भीतर का अहंकार और भ्रम पूरी तरह टूटकर बिखर जाता है।

Meaning: The true spiritual master is a genuine warrior who strikes the disciple from head to toe, obliterating the ego entirely. This assault is not physical, leaving no external wounds, yet the internal structure of the false ego is shattered into a thousand pieces.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि अनगिनत लोग शास्त्रों का अध्ययन करके, विद्वान बनकर, कठिन योग, यज्ञ और तपस्या करके भी आध्यात्मिक मुक्ति प्राप्त नहीं कर सके और मृत्यु को प्राप्त हुए। बिना एक सच्चे गुरु के मार्गदर्शन के, व्यक्ति चाहे करोड़ों उपाय या प्रयास क्यों न कर ले, उसे वास्तविक सत्य या ईश्वर का अनुभव नहीं हो सकता।

अर्थ: जब सच्चे गुरु ने मुझ पर अपनी कृपा की और मुझे एक आध्यात्मिक रहस्य बताया, तो ऐसा लगा जैसे प्रेम के बादल बरस पड़े हों। उस दैवीय प्रेम की वर्षा ने मेरे अस्तित्व के रोम-रोम को भिगो दिया और मेरा अहंकार पूरी तरह मिट गया।

Meaning: When the True Guru, pleased with me, shared a single spiritual secret, it felt as though clouds of divine love began to pour. This torrential rain of grace saturated every fiber of my being, washing away the illusions of the separate self.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि मैं दुनिया की भीड़ और वेदों के कर्मकांडों के पीछे आँख मूँदकर चल रहा था, लेकिन जीवन के मार्ग पर मुझे एक सच्चे गुरु मिले जिन्होंने मेरे हाथ में ज्ञान का दीपक थमा दिया, जिससे मेरा अंधकार मिट गया।

Meaning: Kabir reflects that he was blindly following the crowd and the rigid rituals of the scriptures, drifting without true direction. However, he encountered a True Teacher (Satguru) who handed him the lamp of spiritual awakening, illuminating the path to truth and dissolving his ignorance.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जिस परम सत्य या ईश्वर की खोज में ब्रह्मा, देवता, मनुष्य और महान ऋषि-मुनि थक गए और असफल रहे, वह सत्य केवल एक सच्चे गुरु की सेवा और मार्गदर्शन से ही प्राप्त किया जा सकता है। बाहरी खोज व्यर्थ है; आंतरिक मार्गदर्शन ही कुंजी है।
