कबीर के दोहे (Kabir's Couplets)

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि यह पूरी दुनिया अज्ञानता की नींद में सोई हुई है, जहाँ लोग केवल खाने और सोने जैसे शारीरिक सुखों में मग्न हैं और स्वयं को सुखी मानते हैं। इसके विपरीत, कबीर स्वयं को दुखी बताते हैं क्योंकि वे आध्यात्मिक रूप से जाग चुके हैं और संसार की नश्वरता तथा आत्मा के विछोह को देखकर विलाप कर रहे हैं।

Meaning: Kabir observes that the entire world is immersed in the slumber of ignorance, believing themselves happy while preoccupied with the primal urges of eating and sleeping. In stark contrast, Kabir describes himself as sorrowful, for he has awakened spiritually and weeps upon realizing the transient nature of existence and the soul's separation from the Divine.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि उस अनंत परमात्मा का प्रकाश इतना तीव्र और प्रज्वलित है, जैसे कि क्षितिज पर सूर्य का उदय हुआ हो। जिस प्रकार एक सुंदर स्त्री अपने प्रियतम के साथ जागकर उस अलौकिक आनंद और कौतुक का अनुभव करती है, वैसे ही साधक जब अपनी चेतना में जागता है, तो वह उस परमात्मा के दिव्य प्रकाश और प्रेम के विस्मयकारी खेल को प्रत्यक्ष देखता है।

Meaning: Kabir describes the radiance of the Infinite Divine as being as blinding and magnificent as the rising sun. He likens the spiritual awakening of a seeker to a beautiful woman waking up beside her beloved; in that moment of conscious union, she witnesses the wondrous play of love and light, symbolizing the soul's ecstatic realization of the Divine presence within.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि उन्होंने उस अलौकिक खेल को देखा है जहाँ शरीर की भौतिक सीमाओं का कोई अस्तित्व नहीं है। वहाँ सूर्य और चंद्रमा के बिना भी एक अनंत प्रकाश व्याप्त है। जब एक साधक अपने स्वामी (परमात्मा) की निस्वार्थ सेवा में लीन हो जाता है, तब वह संसार की चिंताओं और मोह-माया से पूरी तरह मुक्त होकर एक 'बेपरवाह' दास बन जाता है।

Meaning: Kabir describes a transcendental vision where he has witnessed the divine play beyond the constraints of the physical body. In that realm, there is a luminous radiance that exists independently of the sun and moon. He asserts that through selfless devotion and service to the Divine Master, the seeker becomes a 'carefree servant,' liberated from the anxieties and attachments of the material world.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि उस परमब्रह्म के दिव्य प्रकाश और तेज की कल्पना करना मानवीय बुद्धि के लिए असंभव है। उस अनंत सत्ता की महिमा का वर्णन शब्दों में करना न केवल कठिन है, बल्कि अनुचित भी है; उसे केवल प्रत्यक्ष अनुभव और आत्म-साक्षात्कार के माध्यम से ही जाना जा सकता है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that the divine radiance and brilliance of the Supreme Absolute (Parbrahm) are beyond the reach of human imagination. He suggests that attempting to describe the glory of that infinite existence in words is not only impossible but inappropriate; it can only be realized through direct experiential perception and spiritual awakening.

अर्थ: परमात्मा अगम (पहुंच से बाहर) और अगोचर (इंद्रियों से परे) है, वहां कोई साधारण प्रयास नहीं पहुंच सकता, फिर भी वहां एक दिव्य प्रकाश चमक रहा है। कबीर कहते हैं कि जहां पूर्ण समर्पण और सच्ची बंदगी होती है, वहां पाप, पुण्य और छुआछूत जैसे सांसारिक द्वंद्व पूरी तरह समाप्त हो जाते हैं।

Meaning: The Divine is inaccessible and beyond the reach of the senses; no ordinary effort can attain that realm, yet a brilliant light shines there. Kabir asserts that in the state of true devotion and surrender, the dualities of sin, merit, and social distinctions like untouchability cease to exist entirely.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि उनका मन अब एक भ्रमर (मधुकर) बन गया है, जो निरंतर परमात्मा के प्रेम रूपी रस में लीन रहता है। जैसे कमल का फूल बिना जल के नहीं खिल सकता, वैसे ही भक्त का हृदय बिना ईश्वरीय कृपा और प्रेम के प्रफुल्लित नहीं हो सकता। यहाँ आत्मा की परमात्मा के प्रति अनन्य व्याकुलता और समर्पण का वर्णन है।

Meaning: Kabir proclaims that his mind has become like a honeybee, eternally dwelling in the nectar of Divine Love. Just as a lotus cannot blossom without the presence of water, the devotee's heart cannot bloom without the grace and essence of the Divine. It depicts the soul's absolute longing and total immersion in the formless Absolute.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जिस प्रकार बिना समुद्र और बिना सीप के मोती नहीं बन सकता, और न ही केवल स्वाति नक्षत्र की एक बूंद से मोती का निर्माण होता है, उसी प्रकार आध्यात्मिक ज्ञान और आत्म-साक्षात्कार केवल बाहरी क्रियाओं से नहीं, बल्कि गुरु के सानिध्य और आंतरिक अनुशासन के कठिन परिश्रम से ही संभव है।

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जब सूर्य और चंद्रमा एक ही घर में समाहित हो जाते हैं, तो मन की चिता जल उठती है। इसका अर्थ है कि जब द्वैत (दोहराव) समाप्त हो जाता है और आत्मा परमात्मा में विलीन हो जाती है, तब अहंकार का पूर्ण विनाश होता है और पूर्व जन्मों के सभी कर्म और सांसारिक लेखा-जोखा समाप्त हो जाता है।

Meaning: Kabir suggests that when the sun and the moon merge into a single abode, the funeral pyre of the mind is ignited. This signifies that when duality vanishes and the individual soul merges with the Universal Consciousness, the ego is utterly consumed, erasing all previous karmic accounts and worldly attachments.
