अर्थ: मनुष्य की विडंबना यह है कि उसे अमृत (आध्यात्मिक सत्य) कड़वा लगता है और वह विष (सांसारिक मोह) को शुद्ध करने का प्रयास करता है। जब तक जीव की कुबुद्धि नष्ट नहीं होती, वह अज्ञानता के इसी भ्रम में आनंदित रहता है, जबकि वह वास्तव में विनाश की ओर बढ़ रहा होता है।

Meaning: The paradox of human nature is that one finds the nectar of spiritual truth distasteful, yet spends a lifetime attempting to purify the poison of worldly attachments. Until the distorted intellect of the soul is eradicated, the individual remains trapped in a false sense of pleasure, unaware that this perceived joy is actually a spiritual poison.

अर्थ: यह संसार काल या समय के क्रूर घुड़सवार के समान है, जो अपनी गति से सबको नष्ट कर देता है। केवल वही व्यक्ति इस विनाशकारी चक्र से बच पाता है, जिसने उस निराकार परमात्मा के नाम और उसकी शरण में स्वयं को समर्पित कर दिया है।

Meaning: The world is like a cruel rider of Time (Kaal), relentlessly striking down every living being. Only that soul survives this inevitable destruction who has sought refuge in the Divine Name and aligned themselves with the Eternal Truth.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जब मनुष्य सांसारिक भोग-विलास में डूबा रहता है, तब वह भाग्य या आध्यात्मिक लाभ की बात करता है, लेकिन वास्तव में वह केवल भ्रम में होता है। केवल वही व्यक्ति वास्तव में बच पाता है जो पूर्ण समर्पण और सच्ची भक्ति के मार्ग पर चलता है; केवल नाम से भक्त होने से मुक्ति नहीं मिलती, बल्कि वास्तविक अनुभव और समर्पण ही मोक्ष का मार्ग है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that while humans chase worldly pleasures and attribute their success to luck or fate, such pursuits are illusory. True liberation is not found in the mere claim of being a devotee or through superficial rituals, but only through the actual practice of selfless devotion and the annihilation of the ego, which allows one to transcend the cycle of suffering.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि जहाँ कामवासना और सांसारिक इच्छाएँ प्रबल होती हैं, वहाँ ईश्वर का नाम या आध्यात्मिक चेतना नहीं रह सकती। इसी प्रकार, जहाँ वास्तव में परमात्मा का वास होता है, वहाँ वासनाएँ समाप्त हो जाती हैं। ये दोनों विपरीत अवस्थाएँ हैं, जैसे सूर्य और रात कभी एक साथ एक स्थान पर नहीं हो सकते।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that where lust and worldly desires dominate, the Divine Name or spiritual consciousness cannot reside. Conversely, where the presence of the Divine is truly established, desires vanish. These two states are fundamentally antithetical, much like the sun and the night, which can never occupy the same space at the same time.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जब मनुष्य अपनी इंद्रियों और वासनाओं के अधीन हो जाता है, तो वह अपनी आत्म-गरिमा और लज्जा खो देता है। काम (कामना) का प्रभाव इतना गहरा होता है कि वह हृदय को जला देता है, जिससे देवता, मनुष्य और ऋषि-मुनि सभी विचलित और असहाय हो जाते हैं।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that when a human becomes a slave to their sensory desires and cravings, they lose their innate spiritual dignity and shame. The fire of 'Kaam' (lust/desire) consumes the heart, leaving even the most enlightened beings—gods, humans, and sages—distressed and destabilized.

अर्थ: जो व्यक्ति कामवासना और इंद्रिय सुखों के अधीन है, वह बाहरी दुनिया के डर से मुक्त हो जाता है क्योंकि उसे केवल अपनी इच्छाओं की पूर्ति की चिंता होती है। परंतु, वास्तव में वह अपनी इंद्रियों का दास बन चुका है और इस अज्ञानता के कारण वह निश्चित रूप से मानसिक और आध्यात्मिक नरक की पीड़ा भोगता है।

Meaning: The one enslaved by lust and sensory desires becomes fearless of the external world, as they are blinded by the pursuit of gratification. However, by becoming a prisoner to their own senses, they unwittingly descend into a state of spiritual torment and mental hell, oblivious to their own bondage.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि पतंगा दीपक की सुंदरता से आकर्षित होकर उसमें जलकर मर जाता है, लेकिन जब मनुष्य की विषय-वासनाएँ और इंद्रिय सुखों की लहरें बढ़ जाती हैं, तो वह मोह-माया की अग्नि में जलते हुए भी अपनी आसक्ति नहीं छोड़ता और न ही उसका अहंकार नष्ट होता है।

Meaning: Kabir observes that a moth, captivated by the beauty of a lamp, burns itself to death in a single act of surrender. However, when a human is swept by the waves of sensory desires, they continue to suffer and burn in the fire of attachment, yet their ego remains stubbornly intact, refusing to be consumed or liberated.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि कामुकता और इंद्रियों के क्षणिक सुखों के प्रति अत्यधिक आसक्ति ने सच्ची भक्ति को नष्ट कर दिया है। मनुष्य इंद्रियों के स्वाद में इतना खो गया कि उसने अपने भीतर की दिव्य चेतना रूपी हीरे को खो दिया, और अंततः अपना बहुमूल्य मानव जीवन व्यर्थ गंवा दिया।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that lust and the relentless pursuit of sensory pleasures have corrupted the essence of true devotion. By becoming enslaved to the fleeting tastes of the senses, the seeker has lost the priceless diamond of inner consciousness, ultimately squandering the rare opportunity of a human birth.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जो व्यक्ति वासनाओं में डूबा है, उसके लिए कामुकता ही उसका मार्गदर्शक बन जाती है। जो लोभी है, उसके लिए धन ही सर्वोच्च गुरु है। परंतु कबीर का मार्गदर्शन एक संत ने किया, और उन संतों का अंतिम लक्ष्य और गुरु स्वयं निराकार राम (परमात्मा) हैं।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that for one enslaved by lust, desire becomes their guiding master. For the greedy, wealth acts as their supreme teacher. However, Kabir's guidance came from a realized saint, and for such saints, the ultimate teacher and destination is the formless Divine (Ram).

अर्थ: इंसान जीवन भर करोड़ों पुण्य कर्म करता है और आध्यात्मिक उन्नति के लिए प्रयास करता है, लेकिन क्रोध का एक छोटा सा क्षण और अहंकार का उदय उन सभी सत्कर्मों के प्रभाव को पूरी तरह नष्ट कर देता है। अहंकार और क्रोध आध्यात्मिक पूंजी को भस्म करने वाली अग्नि के समान हैं।

Meaning: A person may perform millions of virtuous deeds and strive for spiritual elevation throughout their life, but a single moment of uncontrolled rage and the surge of ego can instantly annihilate all the merit accumulated. Pride and anger act as a spiritual fire that consumes the fruits of lifelong discipline.
