अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि इस संसार रूपी खेल में आनंदपूर्वक जियो, क्योंकि यहाँ कोई भी किसी को स्थायी रूप से बांध नहीं सकता। यदि हृदय रूपी घड़ा खाली है और उसमें आध्यात्मिक ज्ञान या प्रेम का संचय नहीं है, तो उसे जगाने या भरने का कोई लाभ नहीं है, क्योंकि वास्तविक संपदा आंतरिक होती है।

Meaning: Kabir suggests that one should engage with the world as a playful game, for no one can truly bind or imprison the soul. He emphasizes that attempting to awaken or fill a vessel (the heart) is futile if there is no inherent spiritual seed or 'bundle' of consciousness already present to be cultivated.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी एक चक्की के दृश्य को देखकर विलाप करते हैं। वे कहते हैं कि जिस प्रकार चक्की के दो भारी पाटों के बीच आने वाला हर दाना पूरी तरह पीस दिया जाता है और कोई भी साबुत नहीं बचता, ठीक उसी तरह यह संसार और समय का चक्र मनुष्य के अस्तित्व को पीस देता है, जिससे अंततः अहंकार और भौतिक पहचान नष्ट हो जाती है।

Meaning: Observing the grinding mill, Kabir weeps in profound realization. He posits that just as every grain passing between the two heavy millstones is crushed into powder, leaving nothing whole, so too does the relentless cycle of worldly existence and time grind down the human ego and physical form, leaving no one untouched or intact in the face of mortality.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि मनुष्य जीवन भर सांसारिक पदों, प्रतिष्ठा और अहंकार की 'सिकंदरी' में व्यस्त रहता है, लेकिन अंततः उसे मृत्यु के नगाड़े की आवाज सुननी पड़ती है। जब बुढ़ापा आता है और सफेद पगड़ी (बालों की सफेदी) सिर पर सजती है, तब उसे अहसास होता है कि जिस सत्ता और अहंकार का उसने संचय किया था, वह सब व्यर्थ था।

Meaning: Kabir observes that humans spend their entire lives chasing worldly titles, power, and the vanity of 'lordship,' only to eventually hear the drumbeat of inevitable mortality. When old age arrives, symbolized by the white turban of silver hair, the realization dawns that the prestige and ego accumulated over a lifetime are utterly futile in the face of the eternal.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जब मृत्यु का समय आता है, तब बाहरी आडंबर और शोर-शराबा व्यर्थ हो जाता है। मनुष्य जीवन भर जन्म और मृत्यु के चक्र में वैसे ही फँसा रहता है जैसे चींटियाँ एक संकरी नाली में निरंतर आती-जाती रहती हैं, बिना यह जाने कि इस अंतहीन चक्र का उद्देश्य क्या है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that when the moment of departure arrives, all external rituals and clamorous displays become futile. Human existence is trapped in a relentless cycle of birth and death, mirroring the mindless movement of ants in a narrow channel, oblivious to the purpose of this endless recurrence.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि मनुष्य जीवन के विभिन्न चरणों में अलग-अलग भ्रमों में जीता है। बचपन में वह अपनी मासूमियत और भोलेपन में खोया रहता है, युवावस्था में वह अहंकार, पद और बाहरी आडंबरों (महमंत) के पीछे भागता है, और अंततः वृद्धावस्था में वह आलस्य और शारीरिक क्षय से घिर जाता है, जब तक कि मृत्यु का सत्य उसके सामने नहीं आ जाता।

अर्थ: हे नादान मनुष्य, तू इस संसार की मोह-माया में इतना खोया हुआ क्यों है? तू किस गहरी नींद में सोया है कि तुझे अपनी नश्वरता का आभास नहीं? मृत्यु तेरे सिरहाने वैसे ही चुपचाप खड़ी है, जैसे अंधेरे में कोई चोर चुपके से आता है और सब कुछ छीन ले जाता है।

Meaning: O heedless soul, why do you wander in such ignorance? In what profound slumber are you lost? Death stands poised right beside your pillow, stealthy and unseen, much like a thief who arrives under the cover of darkness to steal everything you possess.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि मनुष्य ने अपनी इंद्रियों और अहंकार के साथ एक ऐसा गठबंधन कर लिया है जिससे वह सत्य को देखने में असमर्थ है। उसने अपनी आँखों को सत्य से मोड़ लिया है और अब वह अज्ञानता की उंगली से अपनी दृष्टि को ढंक रहा है, जिससे उसके भीतर केवल विषैला भ्रम और अंधकार भर गया है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that humanity has forged a deceptive alliance with the ego and the senses, effectively turning a blind eye to the ultimate truth. By placing the finger of ignorance over the eyes of spiritual perception, the soul becomes saturated with the poison of illusion, blinding itself to the divine reality residing within.

अर्थ: आत्मा का मोह इस सांसारिक नगर से पूरी तरह समाप्त हो गया है, और अब वह मुक्त होने के लिए पुकार रही है। शरीर रूपी दरवाजा अभी भी बंद और जकड़ा हुआ है, लेकिन चेतना रूपी सवार पहले ही इस बंधन को पार कर अनंत की ओर प्रस्थान कर चुका है।

Meaning: The soul's attachment to the city of worldly existence has completely dissolved, and it now cries out for liberation. While the door of the physical body remains locked and rigid, the rider—the conscious spirit—has already transcended these boundaries and departed toward the infinite.
