अर्थ: जिस प्रकार तिल के भीतर तेल छिपा होता है और चकमक पत्थर के भीतर अग्नि सुप्त अवस्था में रहती है, उसी प्रकार परमात्मा आपके अपने भीतर ही विद्यमान है। आवश्यकता केवल उस आंतरिक चेतना के जागृत होने की है ताकि आप उस सत्य को पहचान सकें।

Meaning: Just as oil is inherently present within the sesame seed and fire resides dormant within the flint stone, the Divine resides within your own being. The only requirement is the awakening of your inner consciousness to recognize this eternal truth.

अर्थ: यह दोहा पूर्ण समर्पण और दैवीय विश्वास की शक्ति पर बल देता है। इसका मूल अर्थ है कि जब मनुष्य अपना अहंकार त्यागकर उस परम सत्ता (राम) पर पूर्ण विश्वास करता है, तो वह भय से मुक्त हो जाता है। जो घटित नहीं होना है, वह कभी नहीं होगा, और जो नियति है, उसे टाला नहीं जा सकता, अतः चिंता व्यर्थ है।

Meaning: This couplet emphasizes the power of absolute surrender and divine faith. Its fundamental message is that when a human relinquishes the ego and places complete trust in the Supreme Reality (Ram), they become liberated from fear. That which is not destined to happen will never occur, and that which is destined is inevitable; therefore, anxiety is futile.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि यदि पत्थर की मूर्ति पूजने से ईश्वर की प्राप्ति हो सकती है, तो मैं पूरे पहाड़ की पूजा कर लूँ। लेकिन मेरी दृष्टि में उस पत्थर की मूर्ति से तो वह चक्की कहीं अधिक श्रेष्ठ है, जो अनाज पीसकर पूरे संसार का पेट भरती है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that if worshipping a stone idol could truly lead to the realization of the Divine, he would rather worship an entire mountain. अर्थ: जो व्यक्ति वास्तव में प्रेम के प्याले का पान करता है, वह अपना अहंकार (शीश) समर्पित कर देता है। इसके विपरीत, जो व्यक्ति लोभ और मोह से बंधा है, वह प्रेम का नाम तो लेता है परंतु अपने अहंकार का त्याग करने में असमर्थ रहता है।

Meaning: Whoever truly drinks from the cup of divine love offers their head—their ego—as a tribute. In contrast, the greedy person may claim to love or chant the name of love, but they are incapable of sacrificing their pride and sense of self.

अर्थ: हर व्यक्ति प्रेम की बात करता है और प्रेम का दावा करता है, परंतु वास्तव में प्रेम के वास्तविक स्वरूप को कोई नहीं पहचानता। सच्चा प्रेम वह मार्ग है जिस पर चलकर साधक को उस परम सत्ता (साहब) की प्राप्ति होती है; केवल वही अनुभव वास्तविक प्रेम कहलाने योग्य है।

Meaning: Everyone speaks of love and claims to know it, yet few truly recognize its essence. True love is not an emotion but a spiritual path; only that devotion which leads the seeker to the ultimate Divine (Sahab) can be rightfully called love.

अर्थ: जब मैं इस संसार में बुराई की खोज करने निकला, तो मुझे कोई भी व्यक्ति बुरा नहीं मिला। परंतु, जब मैंने अंतर्मुखी होकर अपने स्वयं के मन का विश्लेषण किया, तो पाया कि मुझसे अधिक बुरा और दोषपूर्ण कोई और नहीं है।

Meaning: When I set out to find an evil person in the world, I found no one who was truly wicked. However, when I turned my gaze inward and searched my own heart, I discovered that no one was more flawed or burdened by negativity than I was.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि वास्तविक मृत्यु वह है जिसमें मनुष्य का अहंकार समाप्त हो जाए। सांसारिक दुखों और सामाजिक प्रतिष्ठा के मोह में पड़कर बार-बार मानसिक रूप से मरना व्यर्थ है, क्योंकि वह मृत्यु मुक्ति नहीं बल्कि अंतहीन पीड़ा है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that the only death worth welcoming is the dissolution of the ego. He questions why we choose to suffer the 'death' of worldly anxieties and social pressures a hundred times a day, which offers no liberation, only repetitive agony.

अर्थ: जब मालिन बगीचे में आती है, तो कलियाँ घबराकर पुकारती हैं कि उसने केवल खिले हुए फूलों को ही चुन लिया है और अब हमारी बारी आने वाली है। यह दोहा जीवन की नश्वरता और समय के चक्र का संकेत देता है, जहाँ हर जीव अपनी बारी का इंतज़ार करता है और अंततः समय के प्रहार से बच नहीं पाता।

Meaning: Seeing the gardener approach, the flower-buds cry out in apprehension. They observe that she has already plucked all the fully bloomed flowers, and now, they realize their own turn is imminent. This verse serves as a poignant metaphor for the inevitability of time and the transient nature of physical existence.

अर्थ: यह दोहा जीवन की नश्वरता और अहंकार की व्यर्थता को दर्शाता है। मिट्टी कुम्हार से कहती है कि आज तुम मुझे अपने पैरों तले कुचल रहे हो और मुझ पर अपना प्रभुत्व जमा रहे हो, लेकिन समय का चक्र ऐसा घूमेगा कि एक दिन तुम इसी मिट्टी में मिल जाओगे और मैं तुम्हें अपने भीतर समा लूंगी।

Meaning: This couplet illuminates the transience of human existence and the futility of ego. The earth speaks to the potter, questioning his arrogance in trampling the soil, reminding him that the wheel of time inevitably turns; a day shall come when the potter himself will return to the earth, and the soil will envelop him in an eternal embrace.

अर्थ: माया एक ऐसी कुशल ठगिनी है जो पूरे संसार को भ्रम में डालकर ठगती रहती है। लेकिन जिस ज्ञानी पुरुष या साधक ने इस माया की चालों को समझ लिया और उसे ही ठग लिया (अर्थात उस पर से मोह हटा दिया), उसने वास्तव में उस परम सत्ता या परमात्मा के आदेश को प्राप्त कर लिया है।

Meaning: Maya is a master deceiver who wanders across all lands, tricking every soul into the illusion of duality. However, the seeker who manages to outwit this deceiver—by transcending attachment and seeing through the veil—has successfully aligned themselves with the supreme command of the Divine Truth.
