अर्थ: एक विरहणी ने अपनी आत्मा की आरती सजाई है और वह परमात्मा (राम) से दर्शन की प्रार्थना कर रही है। वह कहती है कि यदि आप मेरे मरने के बाद दर्शन देंगे, तो उस समय आपका आना किस काम का? मुझे अभी, इसी जीवन में आपकी उपस्थिति का अनुभव चाहिए।

Meaning: A soul longing in separation has prepared the lamp of devotion and prays for a vision of the Divine (Ram). She questions, 'If You grant me Your vision only after I have died, what purpose does Your arrival serve then?' She demands a living, present realization of the Truth here and now.

अर्थ: बिना आंतरिक शब्द या आध्यात्मिक ध्वनि के, हमारी चेतना (सुरति) अंधकार में डूबी रहती है। जब तक साधक उस परम शब्द का द्वार नहीं खोज लेता, वह संसार के भ्रमों में बार-बार भटकता रहता है और अंततः केवल मानसिक और आध्यात्मिक पीड़ा ही प्राप्त करता है।

Meaning: Without the inner Word or spiritual vibration, consciousness remains blind and directionless. Until the seeker finds the gateway to this primordial Sound, they wander endlessly in the illusions of the material world, suffering repeated failures and spiritual disorientation.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि इस संसार में समय की प्रकृति पर विचार करो। कुछ लोग गृहस्थ जीवन के मोह में फंसे हैं और कुछ वैराग्य या योग के मार्ग पर चल रहे हैं। लेकिन सत्य यह है कि समय निरंतर बीत रहा है और अवसर हाथ से निकल रहे हैं। जो लोग इस वास्तविकता से अनजान हैं, वे केवल भ्रम में जी रहे हैं।

Meaning: Kabir urges us to contemplate the nature of time within this worldly existence. Some are entangled in the domesticities of householder life, while others seek liberation through asceticism or yoga. However, the core truth is that time is relentlessly slipping away, and precious opportunities for awakening are being lost. अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि मनुष्य इस संसार में एक गहरे सपने में सो रहा है। यदि वह अपनी आध्यात्मिक आँखें खोलकर देखे, तो उसे एहसास होगा कि वह मोह-माया की लूट में सब कुछ खो चुका है और अंत में उसके पास वास्तविक सत्य के नाम पर कुछ भी शेष नहीं बचा है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that humanity exists in a state of profound slumber, dreaming a dream of worldly existence. If one were to open their spiritual eyes, they would realize that the soul has been plundered by the illusions of Maya, leaving the seeker with nothing of eternal value at the end of the journey.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि मनुष्य को बार-बार चेतावनी दी गई और सत्य समझाया गया, परंतु उसने अहंकारवश उसे अनसुना कर दिया। अंततः वह स्वयं को मोह और माया के हाथों बेच बैठा। अब वह अपनी ही वासनाओं और कर्मों के बंधन से खिंचता चला जा रहा है, और उसका गंतव्य केवल दुखों का शहर यानी जमपुर (यमलोक) है।

Meaning: Kabir observes that the human soul was repeatedly warned and guided toward the truth, yet in its arrogance, it refused to understand. Consequently, the individual unwittingly sold themselves into the bondage of worldly illusions. Now, driven by their own desires and karmic debts, they are being dragged toward 'Jampur'—the city of death and suffering.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि हे पक्षी (साधक), इस सेमर के पेड़ को तुरंत छोड़ दो क्योंकि इसकी चिपचिपी गोंद तुम्हारे सुंदर पंखों को गंदा और भारी कर देगी। वह सेमर का पेड़ सबसे खतरनाक है जिसके हृदय में कोई आँख नहीं है, अर्थात जहाँ विवेक और चेतना का अभाव है।

Meaning: Kabir warns the spiritual seeker, likened to a bird, to swiftly abandon the 'Semar' tree. The sticky resin of this tree clings to the wings, hindering flight. Meaning: Kabir observes that we spend our entire lives listening to spiritual discourses and talking about truth, yet the mind remains entangled in confusion. We have consumed knowledge intellectually but not experientially. Consequently, without actual awakening, today remains as ignorant as the first day of our existence; we have made no real progress in the journey of the soul.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि विरह की यह लंबी और कष्टदायक रात अब समाप्त होने वाली है। धैर्य बनाए रखें और व्याकुल न हों, क्योंकि समय का पहिया निरंतर चल रहा है। जैसे-जैसे रात के पहर बीतते हैं, सूर्योदय निश्चित है, और उसी प्रकार आध्यात्मिक अंधकार के बाद ज्ञान का प्रकाश अवश्य प्रकट होगा।

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि यह पूरी दुनिया अज्ञानता की नींद में सोई हुई है, जहाँ लोग केवल खाने और सोने जैसे शारीरिक सुखों में मग्न हैं और स्वयं को सुखी मानते हैं। इसके विपरीत, कबीर स्वयं को दुखी बताते हैं क्योंकि वे आध्यात्मिक रूप से जाग चुके हैं और संसार की नश्वरता तथा आत्मा के विछोह को देखकर विलाप कर रहे हैं।
