Meaning: Abusive language and insults only give birth to conflict, suffering, and deep-seated resentment. One who walks the path of the Divine (Hari) and transcends anger to embody peace is a true saint; conversely, one who remains entangled in disputes and is consumed by the fire of reactionary hatred remains spiritually degraded.

Meaning: Kabir asserts that the devotion to the Divine is far superior to the mere physical existence of bone and flesh. While material wealth is fleeting, the body is a tool for spiritual growth. Ultimately, the highest intelligence is that which is used for the selfless service of others, as this is the true fruit of human life.

Meaning: Without the realization of the Essential Word (the primordial sound or ultimate truth), the soul remains trapped in the agonizing cycle of birth, death, and cosmic dissolution. Since the physical body and the illusions of materialism are transient and unstable, one must seek the true meaning and experience of the Eternal Word to achieve liberation.

Meaning: Kabir proclaims the supreme glory of the 'Shabd' (the Divine Word or Inner Sound), comparing its power to that of a magnet. Just as a magnet irresistibly draws iron, the Shabd pulls the soul toward the Divine. He asserts that without the realization of this inner vibration, no amount of external rituals, intellectual gymnastics, or worldly efforts can liberate a human from the cycle of existence.

Meaning: Kabir explains that harsh and crooked words are the most destructive force in existence, acting like a fire that incinerates the heart and reduces relationships to ashes. Conversely, the words of a realized soul or a saint are like cooling water, providing solace to the tormented spirit and raining down a nectar of immortality and peace that rejuvenates the inner being.

Meaning: Kabir urges humanity to abstain from harsh, crooked, or malicious speech. Instead, one should consciously adopt a gentle and cooling tone. He illustrates this by referencing the Ganges: though its waters are soft and cool, the persistent flow of this gentleness eventually carved through the hardest of mountains to find its path.

Meaning: Kabir observes that just as the earth endures being dug and ploughed, and the forests endure being felled and pruned, a true seeker or realized soul bears the brunt of harsh and malicious words with equanimity. While the common person is easily wounded by insults, the sage possesses a spiritual resilience that allows them to absorb negativity without reacting.

Meaning: Kabir urges the seeker to speak words of coolness and kindness, completely discarding the ego. He reveals the profound truth that both your beloved (the Divine) and your enemy reside within you, suggesting that all external relationships are reflections of the internal state.

Meaning: Kabir emphasizes that one should actually practice the 'Shabd' (the divine word or instruction) given by the true Guru. While there is an abundance of teachers in the world, most seekers wander aimlessly across different paths, driven by personal gain or ego, rather than committing to the rigorous internal discipline required for liberation.

Meaning: Kabir declares that the person who has truly sought and found the 'Shabda' (the Divine Word or the primordial vibration of Truth) is the most blessed of saints. Once a seeker grasps this eternal resonance within, they are forever anchored in truth and can never again be led astray by the illusions of the world.
