Meaning: Kabir declares that when the ego-driven mind perishes, the illusion of Maya dissolves, and all doubts regarding the physical body vanish, only the Imperishable remains. Since the true essence of being is immortal and beyond decay, the death of Kabir—who has merged with the Infinite—is an impossibility.

Meaning: The physical body is merely a temporary inn, and the mind acts as its vigilant guard. Once the delusions of desire and the ego are dismantled, the stark reality emerges: no one truly belongs to anyone else. This is an absolute truth, realized only through profound spiritual awakening and direct experience.

Meaning: Kabir asserts that those immersed in worldly grandeur, royal fanfare, and external celebrations—symbolized by the sounding of drums and auspicious songs—are merely chasing illusions. Without the grace and guidance of the one true spiritual teacher, the precious opportunity of human birth is squandered and lost.

Meaning: Kabir warns against harboring pride based on one's grand residence, wealth, or high social standing. He reminds us that when the appointed time of death arrives, every human must return to the earth, where the body decomposes and grass grows over the grave, erasing all traces of earthly vanity.

Meaning: Kabir suggests that one should meticulously spin the raw thread of the mind, refining it through spiritual discipline. Once the mind is purified and made subtle, its value becomes immeasurable because the only buyer for such a refined consciousness is the Divine (Ram). In this sacred transaction, no worldly intermediary is required.

Meaning: Kabir warns that the human soul is like a fish attempting to escape its fate, unaware that the fisherman (Time/Death) has cast nets everywhere. No matter which pond or refuge the fish seeks, the nets of worldly illusion (Maya) are already present, making escape impossible through mere physical movement.

Meaning: Kabir observes that humans expend immense effort building towering palaces and gilding temples with gold, yet the internal temple of the soul remains desolate. Ultimately, all this material grandeur is abandoned as the individual journeys toward the cremation ground, where worldly wealth holds no value.

Meaning: Kabir warns against the vanity of human existence, reminding us that the body is merely a skeletal frame wrapped in skin. Regardless of one's status, power, or the royal canopy of prestige they may hold in life, death is the ultimate equalizer that buries every ego beneath the earth.

Meaning: Kabir asserts that the human body is like a fragile, leaking boat, overburdened with the heavy weights of worldly attachments and ignorance. Unless one establishes a deep, personal acquaintance with the true Boatman—the Divine Consciousness or Self-realization—it is impossible to cross the turbulent ocean of existence.

Meaning: Kabir calls upon humanity to awaken from the deep slumber of spiritual ignorance. He warns that attachment to this material world is akin to loving a sleep-induced dream, for this entire visible existence is as ephemeral and illusory as a dream experienced during the night.
