Meaning: Kabir asserts that one should not be preoccupied with superficial luxuries like cloves and cardamom, nor with mundane physical rituals like cleaning teeth with soil and water. He warns against lending an ear to those who masquerade as saints but dwell only on external formalities and worldly comforts, urging the seeker to look beyond the facade.

Meaning: Kabir asserts that those seekers who truly belong to the divine court are fully awakened and surrendered. Through their guidance, all spiritual voids are filled. Anyone who finds and connects with such a genuine saint is swiftly led toward the realization of the Formless Divine (Ram).

Meaning: Kabir asserts that a true seeker is one who has completely eradicated enmity and desire from within. Their sole affection and longing are reserved for the Divine Master. Such a person remains detached from sensory pleasures and worldly objects; this, according to Kabir, is the authentic path and perspective of the enlightened saints.

Meaning: Some approach with love and devotion, while others come burdened by lack and emptiness. However, a true saint or enlightened soul nourishes both equally; they do not differentiate between the abundance of the giver or the void of the seeker, for their compassion is universal and unconditional.

Meaning: Kabir suggests that if a garment is torn, one should mend it with a patch to make it whole again. Similarly, when a seeker or a saint asks for help, one should not hesitate or feel reluctant to give, for true spiritual practice lies in selfless generosity and the removal of egoic attachment.

Meaning: When a true seeker or saint arrives as a guest, he does not ask for material wealth but for four spiritual gems: the fire of discipline, the purity of water, the spirit of sharing, and food offered with genuine faith. It is a call for spiritual awakening over material charity.

Meaning: Kabir suggests that when a true seeker or spiritual guide is departing, one should stop them and offer profound respect. He advises giving a gift or offering according to one's own financial capacity and means, emphasizing that the value of the offering lies in the sincerity of the heart rather than the monetary cost.

Meaning: Kabir advises that a true seeker or spiritual guide should not be sent away empty-handed. He urges everyone to listen: if there is anything of value within your home or heart, offer it as a gift, for the presence of a realized soul is a rare opportunity to receive spiritual grace and transformative wisdom.

Meaning: The sight of a true seeker or realized soul yields immense fruit, surpassing the merit of millions of ritualistic fires. There is no need to obsess over external temples; if one purifies their own inner city—the mind and heart—the divine presence is realized within.

Meaning: Kabir asserts that the measurement of time is illusory and fleeting; days, years, and eras merge into a single point of existence. In this whirlwind of temporal illusion, only the realized seeker (Sadhu) achieves liberation, while the rest of humanity remains entangled in the complex webs of worldly attachments and futile conflicts.
