अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि मानव जीवन अत्यंत दुर्लभ है और यह शरीर बार-बार नहीं मिलता। जिस प्रकार वृक्ष से एक बार पत्ता झड़ जाए, तो वह दोबारा उसी डाल पर नहीं लग सकता, ठीक वैसे ही यह जीवन एक अनमोल अवसर है जिसे व्यर्थ नहीं गँवाना चाहिए।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that human birth is an exceedingly rare occurrence and this physical form is not granted repeatedly. Just as a leaf, once fallen from a tree, can never re-attach itself to the branch, this life is a singular, precious opportunity that must not be squandered.

अर्थ: मन बाहरी दुनिया में सुख और सत्य की खोज में निरंतर भागता रहता है। वह हर दिशा में भटकता है, लेकिन अंत में जब वह पूरी तरह थक कर शांत हो जाता है, तब उसे अहसास होता है कि जिसे वह बाहर ढूंढ रहा था, वह वस्तु तो सदैव उसके अपने भीतर ही स्थित थी।

Meaning: The mind races incessantly, chasing peace and truth across the external world. It exhausts itself in a relentless pursuit of distant horizons, only to discover, upon reaching a state of total stillness, that the sought-after treasure was always present within its own center.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि अपनी आलोचना करने वाले व्यक्ति को हमेशा अपने करीब रखना चाहिए, यहाँ तक कि उसे अपने आँगन में एक कुटिया बनाकर रहने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करना चाहिए। ऐसा इसलिए है क्योंकि निंदक बिना किसी बाहरी साधन, जैसे पानी या साबुन के, हमारी कमियों को उजागर कर हमारे स्वभाव और चरित्र को शुद्ध और निर्मल बना देता है।

Meaning: The human mind is like a restless bird that attempts to fly toward the celestial heights of spiritual liberation. However, in its ascent, it is struck down by the gravity of worldly attachment, falling back into the clutches of Maya. It illustrates the fragility of spiritual progress when the ego remains intact.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि हर कोई ऊपरी तौर पर माया यानी सांसारिक मोह-माया को त्यागने की बात करता है, लेकिन वास्तव में इसे छोड़ना अत्यंत कठिन है। यदि कोई व्यक्ति दूसरों को माया छोड़ने की सलाह देता है या इस पर ज़ोर देता है, तो उसे समाज के क्रोध और उपहास का सामना करना पड़ता है, क्योंकि लोग वास्तव में मोह त्यागने के लिए तैयार नहीं हैं।
