अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जब मनुष्य विवेकपूर्ण विचार के साथ ज्ञान की गली में कदम रखता है, तब उसे यह बोध होता है कि बाहरी दुनिया में घूमना, शांति से बैठना या पारिवारिक सुखों की छाया में रहना—ये सब माया के विभिन्न रूप हैं। वास्तविक यात्रा बाहर नहीं, बल्कि अंतर्मन की ओर है जहाँ सत्य का निवास है।

Meaning: Kabir suggests that when a seeker walks the path of conscious reflection and steps into the alley of true knowledge, they realize that wandering in the world, sitting in stillness, or seeking refuge in the comforts of home and family are all mere diversions. The true journey is not external, but an inward movement toward the ultimate truth.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि एक सच्चे साधु का स्वप्न या उसकी आंतरिक अवस्था केवल प्रेम, भक्ति और परमानंद से भरी होती है। एक वास्तविक वैरागी वह है जो निरबानी (निराकार ईश्वर) में लीन है और सांसारिक दुखों, द्वंद्वों और मोह-माया के बंधनों से पूरी तरह मुक्त हो चुका है।

Meaning: When a seeker cultivates absolute equanimity and patience within and immerses their consciousness entirely in the selfless service of the Guru, they become eligible to receive the Master's command and venture forth into other realms—be they physical lands or deeper internal dimensions of consciousness.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जो व्यक्ति परमात्मा के सम्मुख रहता है और भक्ति के कठिन मार्ग पर आने वाले दुखों और परीक्षाओं को धैर्यपूर्वक सहता है, वह वास्तव में सौभाग्यशाली है। वह व्यक्ति उस एक आध्यात्मिक पीड़ा को करोड़ों सांसारिक सुखों के बदले त्यागने और अपनाने के लिए तैयार है, क्योंकि यह दुख उसे मोक्ष की ओर ले जाता है।

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि बगुला बाहर से तो सफेद और शुद्ध दिखता है, लेकिन उसके भीतर कपट और छल भरा होता है। इसके विपरीत, कौआ बाहर से काला और मैला दिखता है, परंतु वह जैसा बाहर से है, वैसा ही भीतर से है। पाखंडी पवित्रता से बेहतर वह ईमानदारी है जो अपनी कमियों को स्वीकार करती है।

Meaning: Kabir observes that the heron appears white and pure externally, yet its heart is filled with deceit and cunning. In contrast, the crow is dark and soiled in appearance, but it possesses a rare integrity—it is the same inside and out. Kabir asserts that honest imperfection is far superior to a fraudulent display of purity.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि केवल बाहरी दिखावे या सतही दृष्टि से सत्य को न पहचानें, बल्कि विवेक और गहन समझ का उपयोग करें। जिस प्रकार सोने की शुद्धता की जांच बिना कसौटी के नहीं की जा सकती, उसी प्रकार आध्यात्मिक ज्ञान की सत्यता को बिना अनुभव और विवेक की कसौटी के नहीं जाना जा सकता।

Meaning: Kabir emphasizes that one should not be deceived by superficial appearances but should seek deep understanding. Just as the purity of gold cannot be verified without a touchstone, the authenticity of spiritual knowledge cannot be recognized without the rigorous application of discernment and personal experience.

अर्थ: एक गीदड़ ने शेर की खाल ओढ़ ली है और वह खुद को बहुत शक्तिशाली और महत्वपूर्ण महसूस कर रहा है। लेकिन जब वह असली शेर के सामने आता है, तब उसकी असलियत सबके सामने आ जाती है और वह पूरी तरह से असहाय और भयभीत हो जाता है।

Meaning: A jackal has draped itself in a lion's skin, masquerading as a powerful predator to deceive others. However, the moment it encounters a genuine lion, its facade collapses, leaving the jackal terrified and exposed in its own insignificance.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि विरह और वैराग्य दोनों की अपनी महिमा है। जो सांसारिक मोह में बंधा है, वह विरह की तड़प से मुक्त होकर वैराग्य की ओर जाता है, और जो पहले से ही वैरागी है, वह परमात्मा के प्रति गहरे प्रेम और अनुराग में डूब जाता है। दोनों ही स्थितियाँ अंततः ईश्वर से मिलाती हैं।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that both longing (viraha) and detachment (vairagya) are auspicious paths. The householder, bound by worldly attachments, is purified through the agony of separation to reach detachment, while the ascetic, already detached, evolves into a state of divine passion and intense love for the Formless One. Both trajectories converge at the ultimate truth.

अर्थ: यदि कोई गुरु की शिक्षाओं को पूर्णतः आत्मसात कर ले, तो उसका अहंकार और सांसारिक मोह पूरी तरह समाप्त हो जाता है। जब तक मनुष्य अपने वास्तविक आध्यात्मिक घर (अंतरात्मा) में स्थित है, उसे बाहरी दुनिया से किसी भी प्रकार की मानसिक या भौतिक याचना करने की आवश्यकता नहीं होती।

Meaning: If one truly adheres to the teachings of the Guru, the entire edifice of the ego and worldly attachments dissolves. As long as the seeker remains anchored in their true spiritual home—the inner self—there is no need to beg for validation, peace, or sustenance from the external world.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जो व्यक्ति केवल संग्रह करने और संचय करने में लगा रहता है, वह कभी संतुष्ट नहीं होता। जो दूसरों से माँगने या बाहरी साधनों से अपनी कमी पूरी करने जाते हैं, वे वास्तव में अपनी आंतरिक शून्यता को बढ़ाते हैं। अंततः, सत्य की प्राप्ति से पहले ही उनका अहंकार और उनकी भौतिक इच्छाएं उन्हें मानसिक रूप से मृत कर देती हैं, क्योंकि वे कर्म तो करते हैं परंतु वास्तविक बोध से वंचित रहते हैं।
