अर्थ: कबीर दास जी मनुष्य से प्रश्न करते हैं कि इस संसार में उसके आने का वास्तविक उद्देश्य क्या था, परंतु वह अज्ञानता की गहरी नींद में सोया हुआ है। वे चेतावनी देते हैं कि हे लापरवाह इंसान, अब अपनी चेतना को जाग्रत कर और अपनी वास्तविक आध्यात्मिक पहचान को खोज, इससे पहले कि समय समाप्त हो जाए।

Meaning: Kabir asks the human soul about the true purpose of its earthly incarnation, noting that the individual remains slumbering under the blanket of ignorance. He urgently calls upon the heedless soul to awaken its consciousness and recognize its true divine identity before the window of opportunity closes forever.

अर्थ: जब परमात्मा का बुलावा आता है, तो कबीर विलाप करते हैं। वे कहते हैं कि संतों और सत्यनिष्ठ आत्माओं के साथ जो आनंद और शांति मिलती है, वह स्वर्ग या वैकुंठ के भौतिक सुखों से कहीं अधिक श्रेष्ठ और वास्तविक है।

Meaning: The celestial drum of the void has sounded, echoing in the ears of those who destroy the ego. This is the clarion call of spiritual awakening. The brave seekers of Truth perceive this sound as an invitation to liberation and rejoice, whereas the cowards, shackled by attachment and fear, are overwhelmed by the intensity of this truth and perish in their own delusions.

अर्थ: जब गुरु और ईश्वर दोनों मेरे सामने खड़े हों, तो मैं पहले किसके चरण स्पर्श करूँ? मैं अपने गुरु पर न्योछावर होता हूँ, क्योंकि उन्होंने ही मुझे ईश्वर तक पहुँचने का मार्ग दिखाया और उनकी पहचान कराई।

Meaning: When both the spiritual teacher and the Divine stand before me, whose feet should I bow to first? I offer myself entirely to the Guru, for it is through the Guru's grace and guidance that I was able to recognize and reach the Divine.

अर्थ: माया एक ऐसी कुशल ठगिनी है जो पूरे संसार को भ्रम में डालकर ठगती रहती है। लेकिन जिस ज्ञानी पुरुष या साधक ने इस माया की चालों को समझ लिया और उसे ही ठग लिया (अर्थात उस पर से मोह हटा दिया), उसने वास्तव में उस परम सत्ता या परमात्मा के आदेश को प्राप्त कर लिया है।

Meaning: Maya is a master deceiver who wanders across all lands, tricking every soul into the illusion of duality. However, the seeker who manages to outwit this deceiver—by transcending attachment and seeing through the veil—has successfully aligned themselves with the supreme command of the Divine Truth.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि मैं अपने गुरु पर बार-बार न्योछावर होता हूँ, क्योंकि उन्होंने मुझे मनुष्य की सीमित चेतना से उठाकर देवत्व की उच्च अवस्था तक पहुँचा दिया है, और इस महान आध्यात्मिक रूपांतरण में उन्होंने जरा भी समय नहीं लगाया।

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि तीर्थ यात्रा करने से केवल एक फल (पुण्य) मिलता है, लेकिन किसी संत के सानिध्य में आने से चार गुना अधिक लाभ होता है। परंतु, यदि एक सच्चे सद्गुरु की प्राप्ति हो जाए, तो उससे अनगिनत आध्यात्मिक लाभ मिलते हैं, जो मनुष्य के जीवन को पूरी तरह रूपांतरित कर देते हैं।

Meaning: Kabir explains that visiting a pilgrimage site yields a single fruit of merit. Encountering a saint provides fourfold benefits. However, finding a true Satguru (spiritual master) bestows countless fruits, leading to a total transformation of the soul and the ultimate realization of Truth.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि ईश्वर के स्मरण में मन को उसी तरह लीन कर देना चाहिए जैसे मछली पानी के बिना नहीं रह सकती। जिस प्रकार मछली के लिए जल ही जीवन है, उसी प्रकार साधक के लिए निरंतर सुमिरन ही प्राणतत्व है; इसके बिना आध्यात्मिक जीवन मृत समान है।
