अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि समय बहुत कम था और अवसर हाथ से निकल गया, जबकि प्रियतम (परमात्मा) अभी भी परदेस यानी दूरी पर है। हे राम, इस विरह के कलंक और भ्रम के अंधेरे को मिटा दीजिए ताकि आत्मा का मिलन संभव हो सके।

Meaning: Kabir laments that the fleeting opportunity for spiritual awakening has passed while the Beloved (the Divine) remains distant, as if in a foreign land. He prays to the Divine to erase the stains of ignorance and the shadows of delusion that prevent the soul's union.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि जिस प्रकार कांसे के बर्तन पर अचानक बिजली गिरती है, वैसे ही यह मानव जीवन अनिश्चित और संकटों से भरा है। लेकिन जिस व्यक्ति ने सद्गुरु से ज्ञान प्राप्त कर लिया है, वह इस संसार के प्रहारों और मृत्यु के भय से पूरी तरह मुक्त हो जाता है, ठीक उसी तरह जैसे एक टूटा हुआ बर्तन (ठीकरा) अब दोबारा टूटने के डर से मुक्त है।

Meaning: Kabir explains that just as lightning strikes a bronze vessel unexpectedly, human life is fraught with sudden calamities and the inevitability of death. However, the one who has received the divine wisdom of the Satguru becomes fearless. Like a piece of pottery that is already broken, the enlightened soul is no longer afraid of being shattered by the storms of existence.

Meaning: The Divine Beloved is boundless and infinite, whereas human beings exist within the confines of limitations, ego, and worldly boundaries. Those who remain attached to these limits—be they ritualistic, social, or mental—can never attain or realize the infinite presence of the Beloved.

अर्थ: मनुष्य ने अपनी सीमित इच्छाओं और अहंकार की सीमाओं के भीतर स्वयं को इतना उलझा लिया है कि वह अपनी वास्तविक अनंत प्रकृति को भूल गया है। वह इस मायावी सीमा से बाहर निकलने का प्रयास करता है, लेकिन भ्रमित होकर भटक जाता है, जिससे वह न तो पूर्णतः मुक्त हो पाता है और न ही शांति पा पाता है।

Meaning: The human soul has become so deeply entangled within the narrow confines of ego and worldly limitations that it has forgotten its own infinite nature. In a desperate attempt to escape these boundaries, the soul wanders in confusion, caught in a paradox where it can neither achieve total liberation nor find lasting peace within the illusion.

अर्थ: जो लोग गुरु को केवल एक साधारण मनुष्य समझते हैं, वे वास्तव में आध्यात्मिक रूप से अंधे हैं। ऐसा व्यक्ति इस संसार में निरंतर दुखों का सामना करता है और अंततः मृत्यु के पश्चात यमराज के दंड और जन्म-मृत्यु के चक्र के जाल में फंसा रहता है।

Meaning: Those who perceive the Guru as merely a human being are considered spiritually blind. Such individuals remain entangled in the sorrows of the worldly existence and, upon death, find themselves trapped in the snares of Yama, the lord of death, and the cycle of rebirth.

अर्थ: संसार के लोग केवल बाहरी चक्की (सांसारिक उपलब्धियों और शोर) की चर्चा करते हैं, लेकिन उस कीली (केंद्र बिंदु या ईश्वर) को नहीं देखते जो पूरी चक्की को थामे हुए है। जो व्यक्ति उस अदृश्य केंद्र या परमात्मा से जुड़ा रहता है, उसका जीवन सुरक्षित रहता है और उसे कोई कष्ट नहीं पहुँचता।

Meaning: Everyone speaks of the grinding stone and its outward rotation, yet none mention the central pivot—the pin that holds the entire mechanism together. He who remains firmly attached to this invisible center, the Divine Pivot, remains untouched by the turbulence of existence and suffers no harm.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जिस हृदय में प्रेम का संचार नहीं होता, वह हृदय वास्तव में एक श्मशान के समान है। ऐसा व्यक्ति जीवित होते हुए भी मृत है, ठीक वैसे ही जैसे लुहार की भट्टी में जलती हुई खाल जो केवल हवा के दबाव से हिलती है, परंतु उसमें कोई वास्तविक जीवन या चेतना नहीं होती।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that a heart devoid of love is nothing more than a cremation ground. Such a person, though physically alive, is spiritually dead—comparable to the hide of an animal in a blacksmith's forge that may seem to move or breathe due to the heat and air, yet possesses no actual soul or vital spark.
