अर्थ: यदि व्यक्ति को अपने गंतव्य (परमात्मा या सत्य) का नाम और पता नहीं है, तो वह जीवन के मार्ग में भटक जाएगा। जब समय का चक्र चलेगा और दुखों के कांटे चुभेंगे, तब वह असहाय होकर केवल विलाप करेगा क्योंकि उसने सही दिशा का ज्ञान प्राप्त नहीं किया था।

Meaning: If one does not know the name or the location of their true destination (the Divine or Truth), they will inevitably lose their way in the journey of life. When the inevitable hour of reckoning arrives and the thorns of suffering pierce the soul, the ignorant will find themselves helpless and overwhelmed by agony.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि मनुष्य ने इस भौतिक संसार रूपी जल के भीतर अपना घर बना लिया है और अपनी सुख-सुविधाओं की सेज को पाताल यानी अज्ञान की गहराइयों में स्थापित कर लिया है। अब जब ईश्वर (करीम) का पासा फेंका गया है, तो मनुष्य इस मायावी जाल में पूरी तरह उलझ गया है, जहाँ से निकलना कठिन है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that man has constructed his home within the waters of this material existence and placed his bed of comfort in the depths of ignorance. Now that the divine dice of the Almighty (Kareem) have been cast, the soul finds itself entangled in the intricate web of Maya, struggling to break free from the illusions of the physical world.

अर्थ: मनुष्य अनेक सांसारिक मोह-माया और बंधनों में जकड़ा हुआ है। वह विवश होकर सोचता है कि क्या वह अपने स्वयं के प्रयासों और शारीरिक बल से इन बंधनों को तोड़ सकता है, या फिर उसे उस परम प्रिय परमात्मा (पीव) की कृपा की आवश्यकता होगी ताकि वह इस चक्र से मुक्त हो सके।

Meaning: The human soul is entangled in countless worldly bonds and attachments. The bewildered being wonders whether it is possible to break these shackles through one's own strength and willpower, or if liberation can only be granted by the grace of the Beloved, the Divine Lover.
