अर्थ: इस दोहे में कबीर कहते हैं कि आध्यात्मिक पूर्णता प्राप्त करने के लिए साधक को अपना अहंकार पूरी तरह समर्पित करना होगा। गुरु की सेवा में तन-मन का अर्पण, शारीरिक कष्टों जैसे भूख, प्यास और कठोर अनुशासन को सहना आवश्यक है, ताकि अंततः गुरु की चेतना और दिव्य स्मृति में लीन हुआ जा सके।

Meaning: In this couplet, Kabir asserts that to achieve spiritual fruition, a seeker must completely surrender their ego. It emphasizes the necessity of dedicating one's entire physical and mental being to the service of the Guru, enduring hardships such as hunger, thirst, and rigorous discipline to eventually merge with the Guru's divine consciousness and remembrance.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि बिना गुरु की भक्ति और मार्गदर्शन के, मनुष्य चाहे कितना भी शक्तिशाली या राजा जैसा क्यों न हो, वह आध्यात्मिक रूप से एक पशु के समान ही रहता है। जिस प्रकार कुम्हार के पास पड़ी मिट्टी के ढेर को कोई महत्व नहीं देता और न ही उस पर घास डालता है, वैसे ही बिना ज्ञान के मनुष्य का जीवन निरर्थक और उपेक्षित रह जाता है।

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जब कोई व्यक्ति अपनी सांसारिक आसक्तियों और मानसिक गांठों (गिरही) को त्याग कर एक सच्चे साधु की सेवा करता है, तो उसे भाव, भक्ति और परमानंद की प्राप्ति होती है। एक सच्चा वैरागी वही है जो निरबानी (निर्मल अवस्था) में स्थित है और सांसारिक दुखों से पूरी तरह मुक्त हो चुका है।

Meaning: Kabir explains that when an individual transcends their mental knots and worldly attachments to serve a true realized soul, they attain a state of deep emotion, devotion, and bliss. A true ascetic is one who dwells in the state of 'Nirbani'—the formless purity—and remains untouched by the sorrows and fluctuations of the material world.

Meaning: Kabir suggests that if one resides within the domestic sphere, one should practice devotion there. Alternatively, one should embrace true renunciation. The most unfortunate soul is the one who adopts the outward appearance of a renunciant (Sannyasi) but remains internally shackled by worldly attachments and desires.

अर्थ: जिस घर में सद्गुरु के प्रति समर्पण और भक्ति का अभाव है, और जहाँ संतों या आध्यात्मिक जिज्ञासुओं का सत्कार नहीं होता, वह घर वास्तव में एक जीवित श्मशान के समान है। वहाँ यमराज का वास होता है क्योंकि वहाँ चेतना मृत है।

Meaning: In a household where there is no devotion to the True Guru and no hospitality toward saints or seekers, that home is akin to a living cremation ground. It is said that Yama, the lord of death, resides there, for though the inhabitants are physically alive, their spiritual consciousness is dead.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि मथुरा, काशी, द्वारिका, हरिद्वार और जगन्नाथ जैसे पवित्र तीर्थों की यात्रा करना व्यर्थ है, यदि व्यक्ति के जीवन में सत्संग (सच्चे ज्ञानियों का साथ) और ईश्वर के प्रति सच्चे आंतरिक प्रेम एवं भक्ति का अभाव है। बाहरी यात्राएं आध्यात्मिक मुक्ति नहीं दिला सकतीं।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that pilgrimages to sacred cities like Mathura, Kashi, Dwarika, Haridwar, and Jagannath are futile if they are devoid of 'Satsang' (the company of the spiritually awakened) and 'Haribhajan' (devotion to the Divine).
