अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि एक साधारण, शांत झोपड़ी उस बड़े और शोर-शराबे वाले शहर (साकेत/अयोध्या) से कहीं बेहतर है जहाँ केवल दिखावा और अहंकार है। उसी प्रकार, चंदन की एक छोटी सी लकड़ी का टुकड़ा उस विशाल बबूल के पेड़ से श्रेष्ठ है जो केवल काँटों और कठोरता का प्रतीक है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that a simple, peaceful hut is far superior to a grand, bustling city filled with vanity and noise. Similarly, a small piece of fragrant sandalwood is more valuable than a massive acacia tree, which offers nothing but thorns and harshness, symbolizing that inner quality outweighs outward scale.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि मनुष्य को संतोष की अवस्था में रहना चाहिए और अपने धर्म (नैतिक कर्तव्य) पर अडिग रहना चाहिए। उसे केवल अपने सद्गुरु पर विश्वास रखना चाहिए और अपने अंतर्मन के विचारों का निरंतर विश्लेषण और चिंतन करना चाहिए ताकि वह सत्य को पा सके।

अर्थ: किसान अपनी पकी हुई फसल को देखकर गर्व महसूस करता है और अपनी सफलता मान लेता है, परंतु कबीर चेतावनी देते हैं कि फसल का पकना पर्याप्त नहीं है। असली सफलता तब मानी जाएगी जब वह फसल सुरक्षित रूप से घर पहुँच जाए, क्योंकि रास्ते में अभी भी कई बाधाएँ और जोखिम शेष हैं।

Meaning: Seeing the ripened crop, the farmer swells with pride, believing his labor is complete. However, Kabir warns that ripening is not the end; true success is only realized when the grain safely reaches the granary, as many perils and uncertainties still linger between the field and the home.

अर्थ: एक सच्चा साधु या आध्यात्मिक खोजी केवल प्रेम, भक्ति और शुद्ध भाव का भूखा होता है, भौतिक धन या सांसारिक संपदा का नहीं। यदि कोई व्यक्ति धर्म या आध्यात्मिकता का चोला पहनकर धन की लालसा करता है, तो वह वास्तव में साधु नहीं है, बल्कि अपनी वासनाओं का दास है।

Meaning: A true seeker or saint hungers only for pure emotion, love, and spiritual devotion, not for material wealth or worldly possessions. Anyone who wanders the earth seeking monetary gain while masquerading as a holy person is not a saint, but remains a slave to their own desires.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि यदि कोई व्यक्ति केवल अपनी भूख मिटाने के लिए या जीवन की बुनियादी आवश्यकताओं के लिए कुछ मांगता है, तो उसमें कोई दोष नहीं है। लेकिन जो व्यक्ति लालचवश अपनी आवश्यकता से अधिक संचय करता है, वह आध्यात्मिक पतन की ओर जाता है और उसे मोक्ष की प्राप्ति नहीं होती।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that there is no sin in seeking only what is necessary to sustain the body and satisfy hunger. However, he warns that those who grasp and accumulate beyond their actual needs, driven by greed, obstruct their own spiritual liberation and distance themselves from the state of Moksha.
