Meaning: Kabir describes the wheel of time as a relentless grinding mill that turns day and night without cease. The two heavy grinding stones of this mill are 'Saguna' (the world of form and attributes) and 'Nirguna' (the formless absolute), and between these two opposing forces, the human soul is crushed and worn down in its struggle for liberation.

Meaning: Kabir asserts that in this transient world, there is no true companion, as every individual is driven by their own self-interest. Until genuine faith awakens in the mind and unwavering trust takes root in the heart, a real spiritual connection remains unattainable.

Meaning: Kabir observes that man sleeps in luxurious palaces, adorning his body with fragrant perfumes, yet in this state of spiritual slumber, he fails to perceive the Ultimate Truth. When the moment of awakening or death arrives, he discovers that all his ego-driven pleasures have vanished like a fleeting dream.

Meaning: Kabir describes the world as a mound of ash, deceptively covered by a thin layer of greenery. Similarly, human beings are captivated by the superficial allure and transient colors of material existence, forgetting their eternal essence while chasing illusory pleasures.

Meaning: Kabir questions why one who is merely a transient visitor in this material world strives to forge permanent earthly attachments. He likens human existence to a guest staying at an inn, whose heart remains restless and focused on the eventual return to their true, eternal home.

Meaning: Kabir observes that a person spends their entire existence catering to the needs of their family and worldly attachments, completely ignoring the realization of the Divine Name (Ram). By becoming consumed by the relentless pursuit of material gain and social obligations, they perish in the struggle of existence without ever experiencing the awakening of spiritual liberation.

Meaning: Kabir questions the actual utility of our earthly existence: what have we truly achieved upon arriving, and what shall we carry away upon departing? He observes that humans become trapped in a limbo—neither fully integrated into the material world nor awakened to the spiritual—resulting in the tragic loss of their 'mool' or original essence and divine purpose.

Meaning: Kabir asserts that the human body is like an unbaked clay pot—fragile, temporary, and precarious. We carry this vessel throughout our existence, but the moment a single blow of fate or time strikes it, the pot shatters, leaving us with absolutely nothing of material value.

Meaning: Kabir asserts that the human body is like an unbaked clay pot—fragile, temporary, and prone to shattering. Within this precarious vessel resides the soul. He urges the seeker to cease clinging to the illusion of permanence and the hope for a long earthly life, turning instead toward the eternal truth.

Meaning: A human becomes so entangled in sensory desires and worldly cravings that they squander the precious opportunity of a human birth. Now that time has slipped away, mere regret is futile; instead, one must reflect upon their own actions to realize the truth of their existence.
