Meaning: Kabir proclaims that a great theft has occurred across the three realms, where everything essential has been stolen from humanity. The thief is headless, possessing no physical form or identifiable trace, yet it has successfully plundered our inner peace and divine consciousness.

Meaning: Kabir asserts that the three realms of existence—heaven, earth, and the underworld—are nothing but a cage. The concepts of sin (paap) and merit (punya) are the deceptive nets spread within this cage. All living souls are like trapped birds, while Time (Kaal) acts as the relentless hunter who eventually captures every soul.

Meaning: Kabir asserts that those who visit pilgrimage sites and bathe in holy rivers merely for outward show are spiritually dead. While they achieve physical cleanliness, their inner ego and ignorance remain untouched. Ultimately, they are left in a state of profound regret, realizing too late that they prioritized empty rituals over the genuine pursuit of the indwelling Divine.

Meaning: Kabir observes that three individuals embarked on a pilgrimage to holy sites, yet their minds remained restless and deceptive, like thieves. Consequently, not a single sin was washed away; instead, they returned burdened with ten times more mental impurities because their focus remained on external rituals rather than internal purification.

Meaning: Kabir asserts that external pilgrimages and ritualistic practices have become like a poisonous vine, entwining the human consciousness for ages. To eradicate this vine from its very root, there must be a seeker courageous enough to consume the poison of ego and desire, neutralizing it through spiritual alchemy.

Meaning: Kabir suggests that when a precious soul, like gold, enters the cave of the mirror—the inner sanctuary of the self—they encounter their true, divine reflection. Upon seeing this authentic image, the illusory ego and the fabricated social identity shatter completely, leading to the 'death' of the false self and the awakening of the eternal spirit.

Meaning: Kabir urges the seeker to cast away all wicked inclinations and narrow-mindedness to make this human birth meaningful. He advises abandoning the 'crow-like' intellect—which is attracted to filth and superficiality—and instead adopting the 'swan-like' wisdom, which possesses the discernment to separate the eternal from the transient.

Meaning: Kabir asserts that the ancient truth has manifested in a fresh, renewed form, yet it remains unrecognized by the masses. He proclaims that the individual who possesses the discernment to grasp the essence of this 'Word' (Shabd) is the true sovereign, possessing a spiritual empire far greater than any earthly kingdom.

Meaning: Kabir reflects on his exhaustive journey across lands and foreign shores, his mind saturated with the experiences of the external world. He realizes that the Divine entity he spent his life searching for in distant places was actually residing within his own heart all along, rendering his external search futile.

Meaning: Kabir warns us of the relentless flow of time and the absolute finality of death. He asserts that time passes every single day, and once a soul departs from this physical realm, there is no returning to this specific existence. It is a call to awaken to the urgency of spiritual realization before the window of opportunity closes forever.
