Meaning: Kabir shares that he encountered the Divine (Hari) within a dream, but upon waking, the vision vanished. He now fears closing his eyes, dreading that he might slip back into the illusory state of dreaming, realizing that true spiritual awakening occurs only in conscious awareness, not in the fleeting shadows of sleep.

Meaning: Kabir expresses that he has inscribed the infinite virtues and essence of the Divine upon the very fabric of his heart. He playfully claims a fear of drinking or touching water, lest the sacred ink of spiritual realization be washed away. This highlights that internal spiritual attainment is far more precious than external ritualistic cleansing.

Meaning: Kabir proclaims a total transformation of his being, stating that his true identity has now become priceless. Previously, he describes himself as a piece of glass—fragile, worthless, and drifting aimlessly from one place to another without a spiritual center.

Meaning: Kabir describes the worldly existence as a vast ocean filled with poisonous waters, symbolizing the toxins of attachment, ego, and illusion. In this turbulent sea, the mind struggles to maintain patience and stability. Only those possessed of a powerful, unwavering, and selfless love for the Divine can successfully navigate and cross over to the shore of liberation.

Meaning: Kabir asserts that a true companion or spiritual guide has helped him cross the treacherous ocean of worldly existence, fulfilling his destiny. By clutching the boat of 'Ram Naam' (the Divine Name), he remained untouched by the filth and turbulence of material illusion and attachment.

Meaning: Kabir proclaims that the grace of the Divine has dissolved the illusions and attachments of the worldly existence. Now that he has awakened to the Truth, he views the days spent in ignorance, devoid of spiritual devotion and self-realization, as wasted and sorrowful.

Meaning: Kabir suggests that when a seeker sets out to investigate or verify the truth, they often encounter a superficial veil or a misleading guide. In their eagerness, they embrace this illusion as the ultimate truth and carry it back into their inner life, only to realize they have been consumed by a profound deception or a heavy burden of falsehood.

Meaning: Kabir declares that he has chosen the Divine as his sole companion, a Being who exists beyond the dualities of pleasure and pain. By merging with this eternal presence, he engages in a cosmic play of consciousness where the agony of separation is forever extinguished.

Meaning: Kabir asserts that apart from the Creator (the Divine), there is no true well-wisher for the soul. All worldly relationships are tethered by the threads of selfishness; they do not perceive the intrinsic virtues or flaws of a person, but rather focus on their own utility and gain. Only the Divine offers unconditional love devoid of personal agenda.

Meaning: Kabir asserts that the Divine is indestructible, unbroken, and immutable from the beginning, through the middle, and until the end of all time. He suggests that one who dedicates themselves to the selfless service of this Eternal Creator establishes an unbreakable bond, ensuring that the Divine presence never departs from their side.
