अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि उन्हें अब तक कोई ऐसा सच्चा गुरु या मार्गदर्शक नहीं मिला जो उन्हें वास्तविक ज्ञान का उपदेश दे सके और इस संसार रूपी गहरे सागर में डूबते हुए उन्हें उनके बालों को पकड़कर (अत्यंत दृढ़ता और प्रेम से) बाहर निकाल सके। यह एक गहरे आध्यात्मिक विरह और सच्चे मार्गदर्शन की तीव्र खोज की पुकार है।

Meaning: Kabir expresses a profound longing for a true spiritual guide, stating that he has found no one capable of providing the authentic instruction needed to rescue him. अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि मुझे आज तक ऐसा कोई विश्वसनीय मित्र या साथी नहीं मिला जिस पर मैं बिना किसी संदेह के भरोसा कर सकूँ। जिस व्यक्ति के सामने मैंने अपने हृदय की गुप्त बातें और अपनी आत्मा के गहरे दुख साझा किए, उसी ने अंततः मुझे धोखा दिया और मेरे विश्वास पर चोट की।

अर्थ: यदि हृदय में वास्तविक ज्ञान का उदय नहीं होता और मन में गुरु या सत्य के प्रति अटूट विश्वास और श्रद्धा नहीं है, तो एक सच्चा गुरु भी उस व्यक्ति की सहायता नहीं कर सकता। यह वैसा ही है जैसे एक मिट्टी का कुल्हड़ (बर्तन) यदि पूरी तरह से पका हुआ या ठोस नहीं है, तो उसे कितना भी घिसा या तराशा जाए, वह सही आकार नहीं ले पाएगा और अंततः टूट जाएगा।

Meaning: If spiritual wisdom does not awaken within the heart and the mind lacks unwavering faith and trust in the Truth, even the most enlightened Satguru remains unable to assist. It is akin to an unbaked or fragile clay pot; no matter how much one attempts to polish or shape it, if the fundamental material lacks the necessary strength and cohesion, it cannot hold the essence of truth and will inevitably shatter.

अर्थ: इस दोहे में कबीर कहते हैं कि आध्यात्मिक पूर्णता प्राप्त करने के लिए साधक को अपना अहंकार पूरी तरह समर्पित करना होगा। गुरु की सेवा में तन-मन का अर्पण, शारीरिक कष्टों जैसे भूख, प्यास और कठोर अनुशासन को सहना आवश्यक है, ताकि अंततः गुरु की चेतना और दिव्य स्मृति में लीन हुआ जा सके।

Meaning: An ordinary or ignorant person can be transformed into a saint if they encounter a truly wise and enlightened teacher. Such a guru imparts the authentic 'Ram-naam'—the internal mantra of cosmic consciousness—which liberates the seeker from the grueling cycle of birth and death and the four realms of worldly suffering.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि जो व्यक्ति वासना और कामुकता के जाल में पूरी तरह फंसा रहता है और गुरु के आध्यात्मिक उपदेशों की उपेक्षा करता है, उसकी स्थिति उस मुर्गी के समान है जो केवल शारीरिक प्रवृत्तियों में उलझी रहती है और अंततः निरर्थक रूप से भटकती रहती है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that an individual who remains perpetually enslaved by sensual desires and lust, ignoring the spiritual guidance of a realized master, is akin to a hen. Such a person spends their existence driven by primal instincts, wandering aimlessly in a state of spiritual nakedness and ignorance.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जिस व्यक्ति का हृदय अहंकार और अज्ञानता के कारण कठोर हो गया है, उस पर सत्य के शब्दों या आध्यात्मिक ज्ञान का कोई प्रभाव नहीं पड़ता। जब तक हृदय में विनम्रता और चेतना का संचार नहीं होता, तब तक वास्तविक ज्ञान और विवेक का उदय नहीं हो सकता।
