अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि उन्होंने इस संसार को सत्य का मार्ग समझाने का अनगिनत प्रयास किया, परंतु लोग केवल बाहरी आडंबरों और संकीर्ण भेदों में उलझे रहे। जो व्यक्ति केवल बाहरी अंतरों या सांसारिक रीति-रिवाजों को पकड़े रहता है, वह कभी भी इस भवसागर से पार नहीं उतर सकता।

Meaning: Kabir laments that he has tried countless times to awaken the world to the ultimate truth, yet people remain clung to superficial differences and ritualistic divisions. He asserts that one who grasps only the 'horn' of duality or external distinctions can never cross the turbulent ocean of worldly existence.

Meaning: Kabir asserts that the state of one struck by the arrow of divine love is fundamentally different from that of the ordinary world. While common people wander in the turbulence of worldly desires and dualities, the one wounded by the arrow of love attains a state of ultimate stillness and permanence, reaching a sanctuary from which there is no further wandering.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि सत्य का वृक्ष अत्यंत ऊंचा है और उसका फल आकाश की ऊंचाइयों पर स्थित है। कई पक्षी उस फल को पाने की कोशिश में थक कर मर गए और कई बुद्धिमान लोग अपनी चतुराई के अहंकार में हार गए, क्योंकि यद्यपि वह फल अत्यंत शुद्ध और दिव्य है, परंतु वह सांसारिक बुद्धि और भौतिक प्रयासों से बहुत दूर है।

Meaning: Kabir observes that the tree of Truth is toweringly high, with its fruit hanging in the celestial heights. Many birds, symbolizing seekers, perished in their desperate struggle to reach it, and many who deemed themselves wise were defeated by their own intellect, for while the fruit is pure and divine, it remains distant from those relying on worldly logic and physical effort.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि यदि आप परमात्मा से दूर हैं तो इसमें कोई बड़ी बात नहीं है, क्योंकि वास्तविक निकटता केवल अहंकार के विसर्जन से ही संभव है। जब तक मनुष्य अपने 'शिर' यानी अपने अहंकार और झूठी पहचान को समर्पित नहीं करता, तब तक उसके जीवन का कोई भी आध्यात्मिक कार्य सिद्ध नहीं हो सकता।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that being distant from the Divine is a common state, but true proximity is only achieved through the surrender of the ego. Until a person is willing to offer their 'head'—symbolizing the prideful intellect and the false sense of self—no spiritual endeavor or life's purpose can reach its ultimate fruition.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जब मनुष्य अपने चंचल मन और सांसारिक चेतना के मोह को त्याग देता है और अपनी इंद्रियों तथा इच्छाओं पर नियंत्रण (लगाम) पा लेता है, तब वह गुरु के दिए हुए 'शब्द' या सत्य के मार्ग पर चलकर वास्तविक ज्ञान और संतों की उच्च अवस्था को प्राप्त करता है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that when an individual renounces the attachments of the flickering mind and worldly consciousness, and imposes a disciplined restraint upon their desires, they can truly embody the Guru's sacred Word, thereby attaining the state of a realized soul and the company of the enlightened.

Similarly, the true saint, the chaste soul, and the brave warrior, once they depart from this transient world, do not return to the cycle of rebirth, for they have achieved a state of spiritual completion and absolute integrity.
